The parent-child relationship consists of a combination of behaviors, feelings,

and expectations that are unique to a particular parent and a particular child. The
relationship involves the full extent of a child's development. The relationship
between parent and child are among the most important.
Our short story which is entitled THE FECKLES by Ion Druta, the author
wants to demonstate how are important the words of the mother in the house, and
the influence of her words over children. All the members of the family used
colloquail language. We can clearly obseve this thing because Mother likes to
rushe out to hunt up the latest news in the neighbourhood, but the Father is hard
working, he works day by day because he wants for his family all the best. They
are simple peasants.
The first main character in the text is the Father. The Father is charaterised
indirectly through his behaviour and actions. He demonstated his power. His
speech is laconic, and his instructions are short and brief (e.g "Bare in your mind i
leave the house to you.") He showed self-respect , he doesn't trust his children. His
relation with his children are very kind, he is caring, self-confident, affectionate.
At the moment the Father it is angry and he speaks with rude words with his wife
("Well, you woman, are you in your right mind.") because he is worried about his
house and his fortune. The Father has a quick temperament and he has the sense of
humour (e.g "Then well if you say that he will take the feckles with him".) In this
line the Father has really the sense humour, when the Mother told him about the
freckles he feels quieter.
The next character is Mother. She is characterised directly, she is beautiful in
the moment of anger. Here it is like irony, how can we be beautiful in the moment
when we are furious, i can't imagine this thing. The Mother it is also charactired
indirectly, she is very gossipy, curious as she rushed out to find the latest news in
the neighbourhood. She wants to give her children the best chilhood. She teaches
her daughter to be responsable in future ("You girl you are in charge of the house
until i come back."). The Mother it is very impulsive ("Oh me! so what, has the
house made me or i have made it? what is wrong if the poor child feels like play a
little bit."). She can quickly to find the way to defend her child with a right
argument ("He also have a soul; what about the feckles?").
The daughter is very impulsive, she tries to be severe with her brother. She
treats her brother like a toy, she doesn't understand that her brother wants to play,
he wants to have a really childhood. The daughter language is very metaphorical

("Stay here where i place you with my hands and don't you dare to take a sin upon
your soul, and move from here.").
The son is chracterised directly, he is sensible and responsable. He is obedient,
he listens to his sister, he takes in consideration the her words.
I liked the text "The Feckles" very much, because that story remember me
about my childhood, when my parent took decission about my free time. From this
short story we can learn many things. I know that our parents are teachers, leaders,
protectors and proviers. I enjoyed to make the analysis of this text.
