Mechanical Scraper:
A mechanical sludge scraper driven by electric motor and suspended from 1.2 m wide foot bridge
(as per CPHEEO Manual, 7.5.9, page 230).

(f)

Sludge Drainage:

Sludge shall be finally collected in the centrally located pit of 0.3 m depth and
2.0 m diameter (as per prevailing practice). It shall be carried by 150 mm dia.
cast iron pipe under hydrostatic pressure to sludge collection tank.
