OFMsupportsEnglish,Spanish,andRussianlanguages.Bydefault,OFMselectsalanguage
basedonyouroperatingsystemlanguage.
IfOFMselectsSpanishorRussianasthedefaultlanguage,thefirsttimeyourunOFM,the
systemwillaskifyouprefertorunOFMinEnglish.IfyouchooseEnglish,OFMyoumust
restartOFMtoopenitinEnglish.
WhenworkinginOFM,remember:
YoucancreateanewworkspaceinanysupportedlanguagefromPI/Dwightsdata,but
theworkspacethatiscreatedwillcontainEnglishtableandcolumnnames.
WBDequipmentisnottranslatedtotheRussianorSpanishlanguages.
Theforecastcalculatedphasetype,WellDeliverability,isnottranslatedtotheRussianor
Spanishlanguages.
ThefilessupportinglanguagesareinseparatefoldersintheOFMinstallationdirectory.

ItispossibletouseSpanishorRussiannameswhenbuildingyourworkspace,including:

werecommendlimitingthecharactersinthosenamestotheEnglishcharactersetsothe

Whenyoucreateanewworkspace,OFMusesdefaultvaluesthatarespecifictothecurrent
OFMlanguagesettingforthedatelabel,colornames,units,multipliers,andwellsymbols.
Whenyouchangelanguages,OFMdoesnottranslatethecontentsofyourworkspace;it
translatesonlytheinterface.

ChangingYourOFM
LanguageSetting

ChangeyourOFMlanguagesettingwhenyouwanttousedefaultvaluesthatarespecificto
English,Russian,orSpanish.
ToChangeYourOFMLanguageSetting

InOFM,clicktheWorkspacetabandclickOptions.

IntheOptionsdialogbox,clicktheLanguagetab.

Selectoneofthefollowingoptions,andthenclickOK.
IfyouwanttheOFMlanguagetobeEnglish,selectUseOFMdefaultlanguage
(EnglishUSA).
IfyouwanttheOFMlanguagetobethesameasyourWindows settings,selectUse
systemdefaultlanguage.
IfyouwanttheOFMlanguagetobeRussianorSpanish,selectSelectavailable
language.

languagespecificversionsofcommondialogboxes,systemmenuitems,andHelpcontent

Selectorinstalltheadditionallanguage.

Restartyoursystemtoapplythechange.

IfyouopenanOFMworkspacethatwascreatedorsavedinaanotherlanguage,youwillbe
askedifyouwanttoopentheworkspaceanyway.Ifyouconfirmthatyouwanttoopenthe
workspace,OFMwillopenit.However,iftheworkspacecontainsnonEnglishcharacters,
thenonEnglishcharactersmaynotbedisplayed.Inaddition,iftheworkspacetables,
columns,orcalculatedvariablescontainnonEnglishcharacters,OFMwillnotbeableto
performcalculations.BoththesystemlocaleandtheOFMlanguagemustmatchthe
workspacelanguagetoensurefullOFMfunctionality.
