2. Manager: Such an entrepreneur doesnt initiate expansion and its content in just staying
in business.
3. Minor Innovator: This entrepreneur contributes to economic progress by finding better
use for existing resources.
Ex: Minimum wastage maximum production.
4. Satellite: This entrepreneur assumes a suppliers role and slowly move towards a
productive enterprise.
5. Local Trading: such entrepreneur limits his enterprise to the local market.
Ex: Richard Branson (400 cos/Virgin coin), Larry Page (Google), Lt. Steve Jobs (Apple),
Ratan Tata (Tata sons).
4. The Artists: Are highly creative type, very conscious about business. If feedback is
constructive i.e. positive than also lets go with negative self-image.
Ex: Aamir Khan, Michael Dell (Dell), MC Cormich (EMI).
Intrapreneurs
An emerging group of persons whose idea were innovative enough to offer ample scope
of making good profit, left the big corporations and started their own new ventures there
by turning themselves as an entrepreneur, these entrepreneurs are called as Intrapreneurs.
Examples:
3M (Minnesota Mining and Manufacturing Company), who encourage many projects
within the company. They give certain freedom to employees to create their own projects,
and they even give them funds to use for these projects. (In the days of its founders, HP
used to have similar policies and just such an innovation-friendly atmosphere and
intrapreneurial reputation.) Besides 3M, Intel also has a tradition of implementing
intrapreneurship.
Google is also known to be intrapreneur friendly, allowing their employees to spend up to
20% of their time to pursue projects of their choice.
