What is bullying?

Mean bullying problems include activities such as extortion,

contempt, ridicule, punching, cursing, etc. committed by a person against
predators. It is inevitable that this adult, bullying happens in school is rampant and
become all-consuming. It has reached a level that is suffocating and disturbing the
various parties such as schools, parents, government, community and others.
............ According to studies, bullying has become increasing every year among the
students and the more serious problem. "If not for the wind sways the tree food".
Thus, each of the problems that occurred would have caused it. Several sources
have been identified as contributors to this bullying problem.
Among them is the lack of appreciation ............ religious values that students are
willing to involve himself in the case of bullying. They are willing to do so just to get
the attention of others and show strength to others. In short, they increasingly lack
of human values in themselves.
............ In addition, parents who lack love and affection and caring to the children
also become the source of this bullying occurs. Parents who are always busy looking
for money and materialistic attitude has neglected their responsibilities to their
children.
............ In addition, students are still only a newbie and this nut setampuk bleed
easily influenced by peers action. If his friends are bullies, students will also swayed
his act to be accepted by the members of the group. Lax supervision in the school is
the source for providing opportunities for students who wish to carry out their
bullying other students.
............ As the saying goes' no no penyembuhnya disease. There are drastic
measures that can be done to prevent and combat this crisis. Among them are the
government such as the Ministry of Education and schools should emphasize the
issue of bullying in school education through subjects such as Moral Education,
Islamic Education, Civics and the like. As such, students will also realize that this
bullying is a serious offense and students are also exposed to a variety of
information about adverse effects of bullying and ways to prevent it from engaging
in this bullying.
............ In addition, talks or campaigns such as anti-bullying campaign can also be
continuous in every school from time to time for students to realize that to keep
away from the symptoms of bullying. Activities such as quizzes about bullying can
also be implemented as an initiative in addressing this bullying problem.
............ However, the school should also ensure that the surveillance in every
corner of the area behind the school, such as school buildings and school sidewalks
tightened quiet so as not to give any opportunity for those who have the desire for

bullying victims.
The school ............ can also encourage students to participate in Crime Prevention
Clubs in schools with active. This is because the students will get more knowledge
on how to prevent bullying problems if students become predators in the case and
the students can also spread the information available to other partners so that all
students know of it.
Another step ............ students should know how to choose friends because students
are usually also be easily influenced by his act. For example, if his interest in
reading books, they will also be affected, and read together. The same applies if the
student's friends are involved in bullying at school.
............ In addition, students should also working with the school in an effort to curb
this menace. Students who saw the bullying occurred or are victims of bullying
should take the liberty to report to the school immediately so that it can be resolved
as soon as possible for the benefit of the school.
............ Meanwhile, the school has received reports of complaints from students
should strive to overcome this problem seriously and not vice versa to close the
case with only indiscriminately. If the case is still not being addressed, the problem
of bullying will be more and more prevalent.
The school ............. can meet with students who are suspected of being involved in
bullying and parents to discuss problems faced by these students and find a way
out. The school should impose capital punishment to the student so that he never
do that again and also serve as a lesson to other students.
............ In addition, parents also play an important role in efforts to stem this crisis.
Parents should show good example to their children so that children will emulate the
behavior of their parents because of the perception of their child, parents act is
always right and should be followed. Berlakuan not good parents before their
children, whereas they were often mocked, insulted people, and so forth. As the
saying goes' the father of Borek, children moaned ',' crab walk straight while
teaching his son walking crooked.
Furthermore ............, as well as material rush and hectic working life, parents
should also keep in touch with their son at school and give full love and affection to
them so they do not feel lonely and neglected. Parents also need to nurture their
children from early childhood, such as curved bamboo matures to always let the
hearts and willing to express their problems to overcome them together.
............ The result, as long as this problem is still rampant, dreams of our nation
who wish to produce a noble and dignified people who will live as a viable fantasy

only. Our country's desire to achieve Vision 2020 will also be live as fantasy merely
fantasies. This is because the students are important national assets and will lead
this country in the future. To quote the Malay proverb 'expectations of young
people, girls pole nation. Therefore, all parties should sehilir semudik and one heart
piece in order to address the problem of bullying, although we have to face The
road is full of thorns thorn. Hopefully, thanks to its extensive efforts, we can produce
young people who can lift the country's name and dignity of the nation at the global
level.

n addition, the government could re-brand campaign that had been antibuli held
each year in school. This is because the campaign is based antibuli talks and
exhibitions are rarely impressed in the hearts of the students. The school through
School Discipline Unit can change the campaign strategy of proactive and
provocative for the purpose of intimidating potential bullies. Thus, for example, the
school may request the cooperation of the Prisons Department of Malaysia or Royal
Malaysia Police to make the campaign more effective antibuli. Cooperation in
addressing the various symptoms of bullying is like to climb the same hill,
to have had the same groove. In the event, the campaign succeeded in
permeating conscience antibuli student school then it would be a safer place for
all students.
In closing, the symptoms of a polemic in bullying among students in this country
need to be addressed immediately. Indeed bullying problems still exist, but many
isolated cases of sensationalized by the media in this country. May bullying
problems could be handled wisely by the authorities in collaboration with the
school. Therefore we need to synergize in ensuring the symptoms of bullying can
be eliminated in this blessed land. if symptoms of bullying does not exist, Malaysia
is able to stand the headline on the world stage and acclaimed as a world-class
young people.

Bullying often gets as a trouble factor for many students in their school or college atmosphere. It
refers to the situation where the act of intimidating a weaker person to make them do something
is occurs. Obviously, the situation makes it hard to tolerate with this matter among the students.
It may come under several types such as emotional, verbal or physical. Bullying may lead by a
single person or by a group against a weak person and that makes the victim feel depressed. As
an human act, Bullying can takes place in any areas like bullying in work place, cyber bullying,

etc., but the school bullying gets its importance considering the its seriousness and affects on the
students.
In a school environment, there are many areas to have a student bullied. It may occur in
hallways, toilets, school buses, class rooms, libraries, etc. A group of students make benefits over
a student particularly in this kind of bullying. Sometimes, it may be a single person from the
group does things while others stand aside. By knowing the importance of this rude behavior
affects on the students, many institutes comes with an anti-bullying squad, attached several
policies with them, to prevent the act going on. Their role is to take punishments against such
students and provide assistance to the victims in a real manner. They also make it possible to
share a better awareness to the students to face such bullying situation.
pendahuluan
By age 24, 60% of bullies have a criminal record. Bullying has not only ruined the
lives of victims, but the bullies themselves too. Students all over the world are
verbally and physically assaulted by their peers every day. At school, bullies rip their
victim's self-esteem to shreds while theirs is sky high. While bullying is seemingly
impossible to defeat, it can be overturned. This is possible if parents get involved,

Before we can discuss the different types of bullying we must first have an understanding of
what bullying is. Bullying is an aggressive behavior that involves unwanted negative actions; a
pattern of behavior repeated over time and involves an imbalance of power or strength.
Bullying has many different versions. It can include physical bullying which consists of hitting,
slapping, and shoving in a hurtful way just to name a few. There's also verbal bullying, some
examples of this are name calling, put downs, threats and intimidation. There's also indirect
bullying or social bullying, which can include but not limited to harming ones' reputation,
gossiping about someone, excluding someone from a group and insulting remarks and gestures.
Then there is the whole new brand of bullying called cyber bullying. This type of bullying solely
consists of bullying with the use of technology, such as text messages, email and on social
networks.
How frequently does bullying occur? According to the American Medical Association 3.7 million
youths engage in bullying. More than 3.2 million are victims of moderate or severe bullying each
year. Over the course of a year, nearly one-fourth of students reported that they had been
harassed or bullied on school property because of their race, ethnicity, gender, religion, sexual
orientation or disability.
Bullying cannot be fully understood without considering the moral aspects involved in this
phenomenon. There are several different theories of moral development. Some of these theories
according to James Rest are moral sensitivity which is being aware that a moral problem exists.
Moral judgment is when you decide on a moral action. Moral motivation is staying committed to
one's values and prioritizing on the moral action. Then there is moral character which is
implementing and following through on the moral action. When you take these theories and put
them towards bullying you get a better understanding of why people bully. A persons' moral
developmental should be taken into account. An individual's sense of right and wrong certainly

plays an important role in this process.

Children as well as adults base their behavior on their personal feelings and on how they were
raised. Now I ask can we raise children to be moral if we discipline our children immorally. The
way we discipline our children determines the way they understand what they did wrong, how
they will behave in the future and how they will discipline their own children. Unfortunately
much of what we do in the name of discipline is immoral and causes more harm than good. This
is why bullying has been becoming a more serious problem.
In the book "Lost in Transition: The Dark Side of Emerging Adulthood" by Christian Smith, he
sheds light on why bullying may be on the rise. In 2008 Smith and his team asked 230 young
Americans, ages ranging from 18-23 years of age, open ended questions about how they make
moral decisions and their thought about the meaning of life. In the author's words, "The answers
revealed that many of today's young people live in what amounts to a moral vacuum". He also
states that the vocabulary of right and wrong, of good and evil has little meaning to them, and
that they view morality as a personal choice.
Now you can ask yourself who bullies more? Boys or girls and how do they differ? Well for
starters boys bully both boys and girls. They also tend to use more physical aggression than girls.
Boys usually use more indirect bullying as their verbal skills increase. Many people may see
bullying among boys as "just boys being boys". Research shows that physical abuse tends to
occur more often among boys than girls at all education levels. The long term effects of bullying
in boys differ from girls. Boys who bully at a young age may continue to use aggression and this
sense of power in other relationships as he gets older. It can lead to aggression towards their
mate, children, their colleagues and co-workers.
Girl bullies can also be aggressive, but they tend to use more indirect forms of bullying. Females
like to bully in groups. They like to harm someone's reputation by gossiping and spreading
rumors. Girls are much more emotional. Female bullies prefer the use of text messaging as a
form of harassment versus face to face. This type makes girls sneakier and nastier than boys.
They tend to be well behaved when an adult is around as to not give themselves away. When it
comes to the long term effects of bullying, girls that are involved in significant bullying at an
early age may experience depression, attempt suicide or develop an eating disorder.
Most students do not report being bullied for several reasons. They don't want to "tattle" on
someone for this can bring on more bullying. They feel that nothing will be done about the
bullying. They may feel embarrassed or shameful because they can't stand up for themselves.
Bullying should be stopped due to the huge phenomenon that it has become. Bullying can now
lead to criminal cases and lawsuits. By the schools letting bullying continue it teaches students
that it's ok. This creates a fearful environment instead of a learning one. Students feel "let me
bully so I don't get bullied". Bullying victims can have a lot of stress added on and it can lead to
retaliation such as school shootings as well as suicide or what it's now called bullycide.
Cyber bullying is the more modern type of bullying and some argue that it's the most harmful.
When it comes to cyber bullying anyone can become a bully. The small scrawny kid can be just
as harmful or more than the big kid on the playground. Paris and Robert Storm define cyber
bullying as harassment using an electronic medium (e-mail, chat rooms, cellphones, and instant
messaging) to threaten others. Cyber bullying can have a longer lasting effect on the victim. It
can be humiliating due to the fact that it has a bigger audience opposed to the kids on the
playground.
There are many warning signs that could indicate that someone is involved in bullying. Some of
the signs that someone is being bullied are the following; they come home with damaged or

missing clothing, they have thing such as electronics and jewelry come up lost, they have
unexplained injuries and complain frequently of feeling sick. They can hurt themselves and they
can lose interest in school, friends and activities that they used to enjoy.
Now there are also warning signs when someone is the bully and these are; they become violent
with others, they get into physical and verbal fights easily, they have extra money or things and
they cannot explain where they came from. They can also be quick to blame others.
Bullying can have a number of effects on an individual and the environment where the bullying
is taking place. Some of the effects of an individual who is being bullied include; post traumatic
stress disorder, anxiety, gastric problems, loss of self esteem, relationship problems and drug and
alcohol abuse. Individuals that do bully have a higher risk of abusing alcohol and other drugs.
They tend to get into more fights, vandalize property, drop out of school and engage in early
sexual activity. The effects of a bystander who watches the bullying occur are often overlooked,
but according to a study in Brunwell University it reported that they have higher rates of
depression, anxiety and drug abuse. Dr. David Fenstermake, a psychologist and expert on school
violence stated that social, intellectual and emotional development are three skills one can not
learn if you're frightened. When you witness bullying everyday fear starts to creep in. This fear
causes the mental effects that bullying can do to someone.
In conclusion, bullying can occur virtually anywhere and to anyone. A bully seeks out a spot that
has little or no adult supervision. They look for hidden areas such as hallways, stairwells,
between buildings, locker rooms etc. Bullying is not limited to a certain building or place. It can
occur in schools starting as early as pre-k all to way to college. Bullying should be stopped due
to the huge phenomenon that it has become. It can now lead to criminal cases and lawsuits. By
allowing bullying to continue in schools, it creates a fearful environment and may lead to more
bullying as "let me bully so I don't get bullied". Bullied victims can have a lot of stress added on
and this could lead to retaliation such as school shootings. They can also commit suicide or now
known as bullycide. I leave you with this quote that I found which I thought was very inspiring;
Harvey S. Firestone once said "Never be bullied into silence. Never allow yourself to be made a
victim. Accept no one's definition of your life, but define yourself'.

Claire,
You have some wonderful information here, and your essay is thoughtful and obviously very
impassioned. I do have a few words of advice for you.
I know it's difficult as it's the topic of your essay, but in your introductory paragraph alone you
use 'bullying" about twelve times. When it shows up more than once in a sentence, it's important
to find a new way to either phrase the sentence or find a different term. It's important to
remember that once you state what it is you're talking about, for example the different types of
bullying, you don't have to use it after each example.

Also, I assume that this is supposed to be a factual essay, not really based on opinion. In this
case, I would remove the personal references. There aren't many, but the sentence where you ask
your audience a question about raising children puts too much personal emphasis on the essay. If
it were an essay based on convincing or conveying an argument it would be fine. But you're
presenting facts and statistics, and you should let those speak more than your personal opinion.
Very well-written and informative essay. Good luck!

Before we can discuss the different types of bullying, we must first have an understanding of
what bullying is.
It can include physical bullying which consists of hitting, slapping, and shoving in a hurtful way,
just to name a few.
There's also verbal bullying, and some examples of this are name calling, put downs, threats and
intimidation.
There's also indirect bullying or social bullying, which can include but is not limited to, harming
ones' reputation, gossiping about someone, excluding someone from a group and insulting
remarks and gestures.
Then there is moral character, which is implementing and following through on the moral action.
When you take these theories and put them towards bullying, you get a better understanding of
why people bully.
Now I ask, can we raise children to be moral if we discipline our children immorally?
Unfortunately much of what we do in the name of discipline is immoral and causes more harm
than good.---I agree with that 100%.
Now you can ask yourself, who bullies more?
They tend to be well behaved when an adult is around, so as to not give themselves away.
They don't want to "tattle" on someone, for this can bring on more bullying.

They feel that nothing will be done about the bullying. They may feel embarrassed or shameful
---I think this should say 'ashamed'.---because they can't stand up for themselves.
... they come home with damaged or missing clothing, they have things such as electronics and
jewelry come up lost, they have unexplained injuries and complain frequently of feeling sick.
They may hurt themselves, and they can lose interest in school, friends, and activities that they
used to enjoy.
The effects of a bystander---Should this say, ..the effects ON a bystander?-- who watches the
bullying occur are often overlooked, but according to a study in Brunwell University it was
reported that they have higher rates of depression, anxiety and drug abuse.
When you witness bullying every day,---Two words here.
By allowing bullying to continue in schools, it creates a fearful environment and may lead to
more bullying, for example the idea of, "let me bully so I don't get bullied".---I changed this a
bit, though still not sure it's right.
Your essay is awesome, well thought out, set up and written. You wrote, 'not the greatest writer',
but it's among the best I've read, and I'm almost up to 3,000! Good luck in school and have fun!
:)
students are taught how to identify and stop bullying, and if individuals stand up for
and support the victims. These many solutions will most definitely bring bullying to
its demise. School bullying is a widespread issue that affects youths seriously in
three essential parts of their lives educationally, psychologically and professionally.
Bullying is sort of aggressive behaviour against others such as, verbal by calling
nasty names, physical by kicking, pushing or tripping up and social by everyone
stopped talking to you. Despite some children bully others without aware to the
results of their actions but bullying reflects adversely on the victims' lives and leads
to be victimization to several disorders like anxiety, depression, loneliness and lose
their opportunity to have an ordinary life. However, bullied children are more likely
to expose themselves to suicide. On the contrary, perpetrators have less impact on
their lives. In my opinion, bullying at school has significant effects in whole children
lives. The following essay will discuss the negative effects of school bullying and its
consequences.
Academic achievement is the first aspects which influence by bullying at school.
Therefore, bullied children live within fear, self blame, feel weak and its affect their
personality traits and self confidence so this situation makes them unable to study
well and they might hate going to school and tend to the truancy. Furthermore, they
will lose their opportunities to participate with others or enjoy school activities.
Hence, they will gain less academic performance and low educational attainment.
(Oliver & Candappa .2003). There is a strong association between academic

achievement and being bullied (woods & wolke ,2004). Additionally, there is a
relationship between bullying and school quality such as class-size the number of
student in the classroom, lack of library, sports facilities and if the teacher considers
as a mother or father when she or he treat with children during their educational
progress. Dearden et al. (2002).
As far as psychological health is concerned, bullied children are more expose to the
psychological disorders such as anxiety, depression, law self-esteem and lonliness.
All these affect their reactions towards themselves and others. In addition, children
become ashamed as well as having law self-acceptance after bullying or
harassment.
This will lead them to be rejected by their families as a result of social exclusion. All
these things may make them think of suicide or doing some aggressive behaviours
as
a solution to their problems (Coggan, Bennett, Hooper, & Dickinson, 2003;
Kanetsuna et al., 2006). Some external deviation such as glasses, teeth, ears,
protruding and obesity leads to bullied others and hurt them deeply. According to
Perry, Hodges, & Egan (2001), having one of these features cause children to have
law self-esteem. Nevertheless, heterosexual peers who are sexual minority youths
more likely to think about suicide and experienced health risk behaviours. there is
no
lesbians bullying others as well as gay males. Moreover, text-bullying between
adolescents threaten the emotional health via messages. An example of this is that
recent case in new Zealand involve a 12 years old girl who suicide after months of
receiving bullying messages.(hall, 2006).

The adverse impact of bullying on individuals earning in the future in term of

looking
for a job. There is no doubt that the higher educational attainment the higher
earning
people got. Nonetheless, children who experienced bullying at childhood stage
resort
to escape from their schools and then gain lower grades. Hence, it become difficult
to
find good job without qualification and suffering long term unemployment in
adulthood. Varhama & Bjorkqvist (2005). The figures of earning for those who
experienced bullying regularly at age 7 and 11 respectively were lower compared
with
children who are not. However, bullying affect not solely the income itself it also
affects the shape and rank or position of the job.
In stark contrast to others who believe that student could pass the bullying situation
and its consequences if they work beside their teachers or friends to support the

victims and help them to outcome the aggression peers (Hunter, Boyle, & Warden,
2004). This ability to work together to stop bullying and advance self-efficacy
benefits which help to reduce depression symptoms (O'connell, Pepler, & Craig,
1999). Positive victims who enroll in some supportive programmers that assist
victims
to rebuilt their self-regulation and enhance the ability to overcome their problems
by
interventions in different domains of their lives.
Taking everything into consideration, it is apparent that bullying is a significant
issue
affects our generations lives by different kind but we have to be strong enough to
face
this problem and work together to prevent school bullying by encourage students
activities at school and reduce bullying in the future.
