Preface

First at all, give thanks for Gods love and grace for us.
Thanks to God for helping me and give me chance to finish this assighment timely. And I would like to say thank you to
Ms Prima Purbasari M.Hum as the lecturer that always teaches us and give much knowledge about how to practice
English well.
This assighment is the one of English task about hortatory Exposition text and I realized this assignment is not perfect.
But I hope it can be useful for us. Critics and suggestion is needed here to make this assignment be better.
Hopefully we as a student in Islamic State University of Malang can know hortatory exposition as well after read this
paper . Thank you.

SIMPLE PRESENT
The simple present tense indicates an action in the present time which is not finished. This
can be a habitual action (something done regularly such as brushing your teeth every day) or
a general truth.
Some examples are:
1) a habitual action: I wash my car every Friday 2) a general truth: The Rolling Stones play
rock'n roll

MODALS
verb that combines with another verb to indicate moodor tense. A modal (also known as a modal
auxiliary) expresses necessity, uncertainty, ability, or permission.
Most linguists agree that there are 10 core or central modals in English: can, could, may, might,
must, ought, shall, should, will, and would. Other verbs--including need, had
better and invariant be--may also function as modals (or semi-modals).

ADVERB
The part of speech that is primarily used to modify a verb, adjective, or other adverb. Adverbs
can also modifyprepositional phrases, subordinate clauses, and complete sentences

ACTION VERB
a verb, as run, think, or soothe, that expresses something that aperson, animal, object,
or process in nature can do. EXAMPLE
Close thedoor!

The storm is flooding many houses along the coast,

Thinking Verbs
Thinking verbs tell the reader what the characters are thinking about the events or what they
were thinking at the time, example I wonder whats for lunch? he thought.

ADJECTIVE

adjective is that it is a word that describes or clarifies a noun. Adjectives describe nouns by giving
some information about an objects size, shape, age, color, origin or material.
Example: Its a big table. (size) Its a round table. (shape)

TECHNICAL TERMS
Technical term about the text. Example technical term about vehicle is gasoline, machine etc
ABSTRACT NOUN
type of noun that refers to something with which a person cannot physically interact. A noun is a
person, place or thing. However, in many cases, the 'thing' might be an intangible concept
which means it is an abstract form of noun. In this instance, abstract means to exist apart from
concrete existence. A noun that is abstract is an aspect, concept, idea, experience, state of
being, trait, quality, feeling, or other entity that cannot be experienced with the five senses.
Example: love, happiness,sad etc
CONNECTIVES
Connectives are sometimes known as conjunctions. The word 'connective' just explains more simply that these
words link or connect other words, phrases or clauses.
Example: firstly, secondly, thirdly, etc
