Introduction:
Kamusta tayong lahat? Are we doing fine? Are we great? Naalala ko nung umattend
kami dati ng anniversary ng febc, yung isang speaker dun tinuruan kame kung
paano magrespond sa mga tanong na ganyan. Sabe niya pagtinanung kayo kung
kamusta kayo, sabihin niyo, eto yumayaman kaya when we are asked by
someone kung kmusta tayo , we must respond in a way na masaya, sbhin mo eto,
pinagpapala sige try natin, tanungin niyo yung mga nasa kanan niyo, kamusta ?
sagutin niyo yung mga nsa kanan niyo sabihin niyo eto pinagpapala amen?
So leaving that aside, sino nakakaalala ng ating theme for 2015 ? yes, its colors of
life, at for the last two services we have discussed the first color which is ? RED
and red symbolizes the blood of Christ. So onting review lang ng natutunan natin
about the blood of Christ. The blood of Christ mainly symbolizes forgiveness and
redemption. We were bought with a price and that price was Jesus own blood.
For the month of april and may, we will have a new color. And our color is, BLACK.
Ano yung mga bagay na pumapasok sa isip natin pagnakikita natin yung color na
black ? ang magbanggit ng pangalan ko di na kasama sa baguio. xD
The color black symbolizes sin. SIN, or KASALANAN
So for today prang magiging bible school ang dating natin. We will dig deeper the
bible principles about sin. Actually wala tayong main text and title kasi parang
magging lesson ang setting natin. Kaya I expect na magtake down notes tayo. Okay
ba yun?
So for this day magfofocus lang po tayo sa definition ng sin. Kasi pagtinackle natin
lahat mawalan nan g sasabihin yung next speaker natin.
Actually the bible has given us a lot of definition and examples. But we will only look
into three of them.
1. Disobedience (ACT)
1 John 3:4 (NLT) Everyone who sins is breaking the Gods law, for all sin is
contrary to the law of God.
Pagmay hinabilin sa atin at di natin ito sinunuod, we are being disobedient
and therefore we sin. Nagkakasala tayo. Now God has given us all His
commands for us to follow but then we fail to do it. Maraming nagsasabi na
napakadami namang nirereqiuire ng Panginoon sa atin. Actually itong mga
bagay na pinapagawa sa atin ng Panginoon ay hindi para sa ikabubuti Niya,
kundi para sa ikabubuti natin.
Sin is like this, sabi sa atin wag tayo mangupit but then nangungupit tayo.
Dati nung bata ako ayun yung sakit ko. Buti naman natulungan ako ng Lord
na baguhin yun. Sin is actually doing the opposite of what God has
commanded us to do.

2. Abnormality (STATE)
Genesis 1:26 God said, let us make man in our own image, to be like us.
This verse was not to take literally only, nung sinabi ng Lord na in our own
image, it was not only the physical appearance because we know that God is
a spirit he has no body , it was the Character of God.
Romans 8:29 (NLT) For God knew His people in advance, and He chose them
to become like His Son so that his Son would be the firstborn among many
brothers and sisters.
In other translations, to be conformed in the image of His Son. Yung character
ni Jesus ay maging Character natin.
So sin is also having a characteristic na hndi characteristic ni Jesus. We all
accepted Jesus as our Lord and Saviour, Amen? He is now living in our hearts
and He is living through us. Kaya kung may mga attitude tayo na hindi
kapareho ng kay Jesus, we are sinning.
For example, One of Jesus characteristic is humbleness. Nagpakita siya ng
humbleness when He was born on earth up to the point of His death. Now on
the other hand pagtayo ay nagiging mapride or mapagmataas, we therefore
sin. Kasi ang normal na attitude natin ay mapagkumbaba, but we are
mapagmataas kaya abnormal tayo.
3. Flesh (Nature)
Galatians 5:17

The sinful nature wants to do evil, which is just the opposite of what the Spirit
wants. And the Spirit gives us desires that are the opposite of what the sinful
nature desires. These two forces are constantly fighting each other, so you are
not free to carry out your good intentions.
We are capable of sinning because of our flesh or what we call the sinful nature. We
were all born with a sinful nature.
The sin nature is that principle in man that makes him rebellious against God.
Eto yung part natin, ng tao na hinahanap ang kasalanan. Kaya nga there are
times na mas madali ang magkamali kesa gawin ang tama. Mraming tao ang
nagsasabi na masarap ang mali. Its all because of our sinful nature. It is pleasing
ourselves rather than God (adam example)
Kaya ang bawat tao na hindi pa nakakakilala sa Panginoon ay pinapamahalaan
pa ng kanilang sinful nature. They sin because their nature tells them to do, and
being blind to the truth kusang sumusunod ang kanilang mga katawan. But for
us, na tinanggap na si Lord Jesus Christ, we are being govern by our spirit
nature. Ang Holy Spirit ang tumutulong sa atin na gawin ang tama at ang gusto
ng Panginoon. we must assess ourselves today,ano ba ang mas namumuno sa
akin, ang sinful nature ba o ang spirit nature ? these two forces are in constant
battle everyday at dapat ay mas namamahala na sa atin ang spirit nature.
One great illustration ng sinful nature, na lagi kong gingamit ay ang mga bata.
There was once an experiment na ginamit ang mga bata na nung napanuod
nakita ko ang sinful nature. Sa isang room may isang malaking teddy bear tas
may tatlong bata na nilgay sa loob. Inwan sila doon for about 5 minutes ata, d ko

na po maalala. Tpos nung pinanuod sila dun sa seethrough na mirror, alam niyo
kung anu yung gingwa ng mga bata, nagaaway, nagsasakitan, kasi
pinagaagawan nila yung teddy bear kasi gusto ng bawat isa na sakanila
mapunta yun, hindi sila tinuruan ng magulang nila na maging selfish but it was
in their nature to be selfish. Another one is when we were born as babies, ano
yung una nating hiningi ? diba yung mga pangangailangain natin? Iiyak tayo
para mabigyan ng pansin, iiyak tayo para bigyan tayo ng gatas. It proves our
sinful nature or the nature of being selfish
Sin is disobedience to the commands of God.
Sin is not being like Jesus.
Sin is the output of our sinful nature.

Conclusion:
So for our conclusion, let us read Proverbs 28:13
Whoever conceals their sins does not prosper,
but the one who confesses and renounces them finds mercy.
May tinatago ka bang kasalanan hanggang sa ngayon?
You cannot hide it forever to the Lord even david says in
psalms 139:7 Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence?
The Lord sees and knows what we are doing.
James 1:14-15 says

but each person is tempted when they are dragged away by their own evil
desire and enticed. 15 Then, after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and
sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death.

Death here means separation. Wag na natin hintaying mahiwalay tayo sa Lord
because of our sins.
Jesus is so LOVING AND FAITHFUL to us. Whenever we sin God encourages us to
draw near to Him and ask for forgiveness ng taos sa puso natin. Because the Lord
will be faithful to forgive us and cleanse from all unrighteuosness. So whatever you
have in your heart, God is loving and forgiving. He will forgive you if you ask
forgiveness to Him.
