COLUMBA CATHOLIC CHURCH

April 19, 2015
Third Sunday of Easter

Four Signs of a Dynamic Catholic

This week, we continue our discussion groups based on
the book, Four Signs of a Dynamic Catholic, written by
Matthew Kelley.
The First sign is PRAYER. More specifically, it is the daily
commitment to prayer. Every engaged Catholic has a routine of prayer. In chapter 2 of the book we learn the
PRAYER PROCESS, which shows how to start a routine
of prayer. It provides a consistent format to guide you in
your daily prayer. It includes Gratitude, Awareness, Significant Moments, Peace, Freedom and Others.
To start a prayer routine requires as little as 1 minute a
day. Choose one of the aspects of the prayer process, find
a quiet place and start talking to God. START TODAY!
Dynamic Catholics have a Routine of Prayer. Are you a
Dynamic Catholic, or are you one of the frogs (see book
for answer)? If you want to learn more about the prayer
process, make plans to attend one of the discussion
groups either Monday morning at 9:30 or Wednesday
evening at 6:30. Both sessions will take place in the Hall.

THIRD SUNDAY OF EASTER

APRIL 19, 2015

Stewardship as a Way of Life

Parish Assembly

Scripture contains a profound message regarding stewardship. God created the world, but entrusts it to human
beings. Good stewardship involves: joyful appreciation
of what God provides, protection and preservation of the
environment, respect for human life, and being keenly
aware of the divine in all God's gifts.

Mark your calendars for an all-parish assembly in the

parish hall on Sunday, April 26th, at 10:30 a.m. More
details to follow in weeks to come.

Smoke Detectors
Smoke detectors installed free for those 62 and over.
Contact Gary at 619-933-3377 or gpme3@san.rr.com.

Our 9:30 choir, Spiritus, has created a CD, which is
