EVALUATING THE BASIC COMPETENCES IN THE CURRICULUM


COMPETENCE IN AUTONOMY AND PERSONAL INITIATIVE: ability to take their own
decisions, put them into practice, assume risks and accept responsibilities in different scenarios
and contexts, departing from our own knowledge and the existing options.
WHAT TO EVALUATE?
* Knowledge necessary to take decisions:
- Self-knowledge and self-confidence;
- put values into practice.
* Innovate:
- Innovation and creativity,
- implement cooperative projects.

COMPETENCE TO LEARN HOW TO LEARN: ability to use learning strategies in a way which
is more effective and autonomous and enjoy when putting this autonomy into practice.
WHAT TO EVALUATE?
* Knowledge of the abilities and motivations:
- Knowledge of our own abilities;
- Motivation.
* Use of learning strategies:
- Study planning and habits;
- Self-learning and self-regulation strategies.

SOCIAL AND CITIZENSHIP COMPETENCE: ability to live together, understand the society
in which we live, act according to ethical and democratic values in different scenarios and
contexts in which we live and participate.
WHAT TO EVALUATE?
* Living together:
- Interpersonal relationships;
- Cooperative work.
* Participation and citizenship:
- Practice of our rights and duties;
- Practice of values.
* Understanding society:
- Knowledge and interpretation of reality.

COMPETENCE IN INFORMATION PROCESSING AND DIGITAL COMPETENCE: abilities to


use technology tools in an autonomous and critical way, in order to look for, obtain and transform
information and to communicate.
WHAT TO EVALUATE?
* Knowledge and use in order to look for and process information:
- ICT;
- Information search and processing.
* Knowledge and use of communication abilities:

- Communication tools;
- Communication fields.

CULTURAL AND ARTISTIC COMPETENCE: ability to know, understand and create through
the use of artistic language; and to take part and protect cultural and artistic manifestations in
the different scenarios and contexts in which we live and participate.
WHAT TO EVALUATE?
* Use of expressive languages:
- Understanding;
- creating.
* The cultural fact in society:
- Knowledge of heritage;
- shared cultural construction.

COMPETENCE IN THE KNOWLEDGE AND INTERACTION WITH THE WORLD: abilities to


understand the world and our interaction with it through the use of the scientific method and an
attitude of commitment with its protection and improvement (our own health and the
environment).
WHAT TO EVALUATE?
* Scientific knowledge.
* Technological competence:
- Understanding and interpretation of life, the world and their
interactions;
- implementing scientific and technological projects;

- put values into practice.


MATHEMATICAL COMPETENCE: abilities to apply mathematical knowledge and reasoning in
a precise and rigorous way when describing reality and when solving daily problems.
WHAT TO EVALUATE?
* Understanding, representing and measuring space;
* Understanding and representing relationships;
* Understanding and representing uncertainty and random.

LINGUISTIC COMPETENCE: ability to understand, express and interpret thoughts, feelings


and facts, both orally and in the written form in different social contexts work, home, leisure,
school, etc- according to our own wishes and needs.

- converse.
* Written communication:
- read;
