GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Proficy Machine Edition supports migrating a Series 90-70 or 90-30 program to
PACSystems. Because the 90-70 Genius Bus Controller has more capability than the
90-30 Bus Controller, any migration from 90-70 to RX3i deletes the bus controllers.
This occurs whether the 90-70 is first migrated to an RX7i and then to RX3i or if the
90-70 is migrated directly to the RX3i.
While this deletion cannot be undone it is feasible to manually move the blocks from
a 90-70/RX7i hardware configuration to RX3i hardware. Following are the steps
needed to accomplish this.
1.
Use Proficy Machine Edition 6.0 or higher. The latest version as this AppNote
is being written is 7.0.
2. Open the folder with the 90-70 target. Right-click on the folder name in the
Navigator. Click Open.

Genius Bus Controller. Click Add Module. Click on the Bus Controller tab.
