1.0 Entry by Component Post Copy Automation ABAP
Download PCAIxxxxx.SAR accoring your system OS and copy it to OS of central instance of your system.
Unpack with SAPCAR xvf PCAIxxxxx.SAR

Navigate to unpacked folder PCAI and execute STARTUP

Switch to your desktop and connect with the webbrowser to the started server with URL http://<host>:4239

Click on the link: Start PCAI Frontend (SDTGui)

(in case get a request for a file download, you need to install Java Runtime)

Enter a selfdefined user and a password

(informations are requried in case you close the tool and want to connect to this session again)

Click Next
(the PCAI tool was adapted from more complex EHPI installer that now a lot of screens needs to be clicked through)

Click Next

Click Continue

Click Next

Click Next

Enter DDIC password for ABAP system and click Continue

(for systems using Oracle DB, you additionally need to enter password for DB Admin)

Click Next

Click Next

Click OK

STOP HERE: To make the note known to the system, it must be implemented using SNOTE
Read and follow the instructions on the the UI:

(Details of the instructions are described in the following screenshots)

SWITCH TO ABAP:
Login to the system and start SE09 to create a new workbenchrequest

In menu Object List Include Objects

Check and enter the transport of your release. The transport for your release can be found on the UI of the PCAI.
(in this example we are using a NW 7.00 system)

In menu Object List Lock Objects

Start transcation SNOTE and download the SAP note 1589145

Double-Click to open the SAP Note

Click Execute to start implementation

Confirm Popup

Confirm objects to be implemented

Confirm activation

Click Yes that note is implemented correctly

As a result the the first of the two notes that are delievered with PCAI is implemented.
Optional you can release the transport and create a new one for the next note or you will record both in the same
request. In this example both notes will be recorded on the same request .

SWITCH BACK TO PCAI:

Click Continue

Select to implement SAP Note 1589175 and click Continue

(the same procedure is now repeated for the next note)

Select Continue and press OK

STOP HERE: To make the note known to the system it must be implemented using SNOTE
Read and follow the instructions on the the UI:

(The instructions are described in the following screenshots)

SWITCH TO ABAP:
Start transaction SE09.
(In this example the previous created transport request will be used for recording.)
Select the request and navigate menu Object List Include Objects

Check and enter the transport of your release. The transport for your release can be found on the UI of the PCAI.
(in this example we are using a NW 7.00 system)

In menu Object List Lock Objects

Start transcation SNOTE and download the SAP note 1589175

Double-Click to open the SAP Note

Click Execute to start implementation

Confirm Popup

Confirm objects to be implemented

Confirm activation

Click Yes that note is implemented correctly

As a result the the second of the two notes that are delievered with PCAI is implemented.

SWITCH BACK TO PCAI:

Click Continue

Click Next

Click Continue

Click Next

Confirm PCAI is finished

Now you can go to SE09 and release the tranport(s).
