INTRODUCTION Ad GENERAL ‘AB-GCP topsides will be transported on Sascha barge from construction yard to Aboozar oil field and installed by floatover method. The aim of this document is to describe the anchoring pattern used during the barge entrance between the jacket legs and determine the maximum tensions sustained in the anchoring linas. This document shall be approved by MWS. ‘SASCHA BARGE Sascha barge will be used for the transport and installation of AB-GCP platform. The main dimensions of the barge are the following: Length: 80m Width = :28m Depth :6.25m ‘A draught of 3.1 meters has been considered for the barge entrance. 2. CONCLUSION For the entrance phase between the jacket legs, when the barge is located at about 50m in front of jacket, the barge will be maintained by two bow anchoring lines and two crossed stern winch lines. A tension of 28.6 tons corresponds to 40.9% of the minimum breaking load of the anchoring lines (MBL=70.0 tons), which is acceptable. ‘The maximum tension in the stem crossed winch lines is 31.5 tons, occurring in fine J1 with quartering wave, wind and current. A tension of 31.5 tons corresponds to 44.9% of the minimum breaking load of the crossed stern lines (equal to the MBL of the wire component: MBL=70.0 tons), which is acceptable. METHODOLOGY 4.1 COMPUTER PROGRAMS: > ARIANE 3D-DYNAMIC is a time and frequency domain mooring analysis. program incorporating nonlinear time domain dynamic anaiysis of individual lines. It is developed bby Bureau Véritas & MCS. This software has been used in this analysis to describe the anchoring lines, which are part of the entrance anchor system and determine the tensions in the lines under environmental loads. The bow anchoring lines have been defined by segments in ARIANE and files containing the catenary lines characteristics have been generated to be used in DIODORE. > DIODORE is a fluid mechanics software package developed by Principia, Bureau Veritas and the Institut Frangals du Pétrole (L.F.P.). DIODORE is designed to solve a large number of problems in ocean engineering and particularly in offshore and marine applications, The wave frequency motions have been solved to determine the maximum motion amplitude due to wave loads. 42 SASCHAMODEL Wave loading was generated by diodore using a 3D diffraction panel representation of the hull external surfaces of the barge. ‘The model shown in Figure 4.1 has been used for this analysis. It gives the tensions in the line versus elongation to take into account the non- linearity of the catenary lines. The safety coefficient to be considered for the wire rope is 2: the load in each anchoring line must be less than 35.0 tons. These loads have been introduced in the model as follows: 9.1 OFFSET DUE TO WAVE FREQUENCY MOTIONS ‘The maximum wave frequency motions are computed as offsets in an ARIANE quasi-static analysis.
