Humankindhasfinallyworkedouthowtotravelbetweenthestars.Colonisationhasbecomea
realpossibility,andmankind,beingthesortofspeciesitis,hasengagedinsometimesviolent
competitionovertheresourcesofnewlydiscoveredworlds.
ThisgameisaboutthecolonisationofthethirdplanetoftheDubhesystem(knownasNew
Edo).Thereareanumberofhumangroupswishingtocolonisethehabitableandresourcerich
thirdcontinent.
Thecontinentisbrokendownintoaseriesofareaseachwithitsownmap.Playerteamswill
controlasinglemaptostartwithandexploreadditionalzonesinsearchofresources.Their
mapswillgenerallybeondifferenttables.Therelationshipbetweenthesetablesisshownona
mastermapofthecontinent.
Playerswillnotbeentirelyfreetoactastheywish,however.
TheirexpensivecolonisingtechnologyandthecostofthetriptoNewEdohavebeenfundedby
theirparentcompanyorgovernment.Theseparentorganisationwillbeexpectingareturn.

Allthecoloniesareonthesamecontinent,becausethisiswhereorbitalsurveyshaveindicated
thegreatestlikelihoodofahighconcentrationsofRedMercuryandothersuitableminerals.

ThereareanumberofvaluablethingsthatcanbefoundonthesurfaceofnewEdo,andthe
colonistshavethetechnologytoexploitthesequicklyandeasily.
1. BIOMASS(Foodandarawmaterialforotherthings).BIOMASSiscollectedmostusually
fromthejunglesbymobileBiomasscollectorsandprocessedinfactories.
2. REDMERCURY(Essentialforadvancedtechnology).Thishastobeextractedfromthe
groundfromcertainsuitablesites.
3. MINERALS(Thecontinentisrichinusefulminerals).Thesecanbeextractedfrom
suitablemineralrichsites.

improvedtechnology.
Eachturn,theTeamControlcalculatesandgivesamovenumbertoGameControlwhokeep
trackofthesharelevels.Factorsthatmightinfluencesharepricesare:
1. ExportProductionlevelsallmaterialcanbeexportedandlevelsmightbehigherif
exportsincludeunusual,valuableoruniqueitems.
2. QualityofManagementgoodadministrativeprocedures,regularreportingtotheparent
company,rapidandeffectiveresponsetoproblems.
3. Diversificationtheextenttowhichthecompanyprotectsitselffromcatastropheby
avoidingputtingallitseggsinonebaskete.g.bybuildingextracities,redundant
systems.
4. Visiontheextenttowhichthecompanyhasaclearandwellexplainedideaofitsown
futureplans,andisabletopromoteacommonpurposeandboostmoralewith
teambuildinganduseofsymbols.

Movement
