Location
General
The fuses and relays for the truck are located under the cover in the middle of the
instrument panel. A number of relays are
located under the mug holder. Fuses and relays for the superstructure are located under
the panel, in front of the passenger.
To access fuses and relays: Tighten the
mug holder, slacken off the two screws and
lift off the cover.
Under the cover, there are labels which
show the location of the fuses and relays,
and what components they are relevant
to.
The ordinary exterior lighting of the truck
is controlled by a lighting control unit. This
contains control functions for each lighting
circuit. Fuses are no longer used for these
functions. If a circuit is broken, for
example, because of overloading or a shortcircuit, the driver will be informed by a
message in the instrument panel. The function is restored when the fault has been
corrected.

Fuses
Main fuses
Main fuses are located in a main fuse box
inside the battery box on the frame. The
four fuses are screwed into the fuse box using spring washers and nuts. It is important
that the nuts are tightened to the correct
torque. See table. If they are not tightened
enough, heat can be generated. Over tightening can cause deformation and cracking.
