I choose this article, first because the title interests me.
Second, the article gives the new information about Mars that I
have not known yet.
4. Explain briefly in four or five sentences what the article is about.
The article is about the new progress about Mars. Mars have
been issued as the most Earth-like planet in solar system and is
predicted that life can exist there. From a photo taken in orbit
by robot, scientists predict that long time ago Mars had liquid
water. If there is liquid water, it means that life can exist there,
but this prediction doesnt have enough evidence. Besides that
the atmosphere is very thin with no oxygen so it is impossible
to live there. In conclusion, more researches are needed to
discover more about Mars so that the reality can be revealed.
5. What is the writers message or purpose in writing this article?
In my opinion, the purpose of this article are first to give the
readers about new information about Mars. The writer wants to
tell the readers about the new issue about Mars. Second, from
this article writer also wants to hear the readers opinion about
this issue. The writer wants to know the view of this issue from
their own perspective.
6. Give your personal comment on the article as a conclusion of your
article review.
In my opinion, this article is interesting. The writer explains the
issue in interactive words so that it catches my attention to
read it over and over again. Besides that the issue itself is also

interesting and giving me the new information about Mars

which I did not know before.

The reason why I choose this article is because of its topic. The
topic

is

new

discovery

about

someones

intelligence,

emotional intelligence. This topic is kind an interesting because

it is a new thing that have never been known before.
4. Explain briefly in four or five sentences what the article is about.
The article explains about the new discovery by Daniel Goleman
who discovered the importance of emotional stability. He said
that

emotional

stability

is

more

important

than

IQ

in

determining an individuals success in life. He had done an

experiment to children in 1960 and a dozen later the children
were tested again. This experiment concluded that the more
emotional memories were happened in early adolescence, the
more brain was flooded by strong and inappropriate emotions.
In contrast, the brain which was stored with self-awareness,
self-regulation, self-motivation, etc then will be flooded by
emotional intelligence that will help us in the future.
5. What is the writers message or purpose in writing this article?
The writer wrote this article in purpose to give the new
information

about

discovery

of

emotional intelligence.

By

knowing the information we can take a step to pay more

attention in emotional intelligence, not only in IQ, so that this
emotional intelligence can help us in doing our rest of life later
on.

In my opinion, this article is very good, interesting, and giving
me the new information that I have never known before. This
article makes me realize that IQ cant be the only standard of
an individual to achieve success in his/her life later.
