SELECTED ACCOMPLISHMENTS

Developed new security database, aligning Discover Financial Services’ cost center. The mainframe security database was
out of date and not aligned with the current organization. Architected and reengineered the security database which
automatically synchronized several databases. Simplifying administration and maintenance of the databases positioned the
database structure for integration with future security products.
Reduced risk of data loss by establishing security standards at Discover Financial Services . The company did not have
consistent standards for security administration. Engaged information security personnel from across the organization and
created and published new security administration standards. Implemented automatic auditing. The automation of the auditing
eliminated incidents before they occurred and substantially lowered the risk of loss of data integrity and confidentiality.
Created mainframe security program at Discover Financial Services. The company had no strategic direction for
mainframe security. Documented mainframe security direction and created a mainframe security strategic roadmap. Confirmed
the direction provided by IBM and provided management with decision points for resource allocation.
Installed new midrange system at Morgan Stanley, preventing interruption of services. The AS/400s supporting the Law
Department were approaching maximum capacity. Performed the performance analysis, capacity planning, and cost benefit
analysis. Coordinated the acquisition and installation of the new AS/400. New system helped improve productivity throughout
the department.
Eliminated errors by developing new mainframe tool at Morgan Stanley. Took over the responsibility as the RMDS
Administrator. Identified the administration function was labor intensive and prone to human errors. Developed and
implemented a mainframe tool, simplifying operation and eliminating the possibility of human errors.
