Directed the financial operations of the practice and related non-profit research foundation by utilizing
procedures and processes to ensure the accuracy and transparency in the reporting structure.
Managed Accounts Payable, payroll for 200+ employees, Human Resources, facility construction, and
benefit administration. Preparation and reconciliation of financial statements for 40 cost centers,
working with each customer to research questions and ensuring all stakeholders fully understood the
generated reports. Supervising support staff and providing ongoing training as needed to enhance skill
set. Related Personal Property Tax reporting for various locations as needed.
Streamlined report generation by implementing FRx reporting software within Microsoft Dynamics,
allowing reports to be printed or distributed in pdf format (according to customer preference),
decreasing report generation from 4 hours to 15 minutes, and saving $2,500 annually.
Initiation of in-house payroll system that saved $30,000 annually, provided more flexibility, and
allowed easier distribution/completion of annual tax paperwork.
Reorganizing accounting calendar to reduce time requirements and decrease instances of tax
extensions. Transitioning in-house operations from fiscal to calendar year-end and designing
procedures to close year-end reporting by January 31st.
Increased enrollment in benefits plan from 75% of eligible employees to 90% by streamlining
information, making enrollment sessions more interesting, and personally contacting employees.
Overhauled health insurance plan, saving $45,000 annually while retaining 95% of original
coverage. Decreasing plan from 3 providers with 7 options to 2 providers with 2 options each.
