Solar Charging System:

Solar inspection Includes: Checking for structural damage, corrosion, broken/damaged panels, missing hardware, balanced
charge levels, knife switches (clean/operable), cabling and correct settings on Outback Controllers.
Solar Notes:

Batteries:
Generator Start Batteries:
Start batteries tested with Midtronics per QWI, checked voltage level, checked for fluid levels, checked specific gravity,
cleaned, applied No-Ox, and noted installation and warranty dates.
VRLA Batteries:
VRLA batteries tested with Midtronics per QWI, checked voltage level, all straps removed (Spring only), checked for
corroded posts or straps, checked for cracked/leaking cells and checked temperature sensors.
UPS / Backup Batteries:
UPS batteries tested with Midtronics per QWI, checked voltage level, checked for corroded posts or straps, and checked for
cracked/leaking cells.
(See next page for Battery Notes)

Battery Notes:

Towers and Antennas:

Tower inspection includes: Checking for structural damage, tight fasteners, grounding, guy wires (if applicable), tower
base(s), ice bridge, cable boots, aircraft warning lighting (if applicable), corrosion, foundation for settling/cracking, correct
cable hangers, antenna mounts, antennas/dishes, antenna tuners, weatherproofing, cabling, and weather cameras.
Antennas to be swept with cable/antenna analyzer.
Tower Notes:

Propane Tanks:
Tank Inspection Includes: Checking gauges (correct and operational), tank levels (similar to electronic readings), for
leaks, tank supports, straps and tie downs, yellow caps in place, hood (present and correct hardware), fuel lines, valves
open, regulators and corrosion.
Propane Tank Notes:

Generator and Associated Equipment

Generator Inspection includes: Checking all fluids/filters (change if scheduled), loose hardware, belt tension, guards, plugs,
coolant specific gravity, all cycles/fans/louvers operate as designed, both engines start/run, hoses, leaks, cylinder head
pressure, RBS cabinet (values calibrated/clean/cables), rectifier cabinet (clean/corrosion/water intrusion), inverter
(operational), propane detector, heater/filter and temperature sending units.
Generator Notes:

Communications Equipment:
Communications Equipment inspection to include all equipment located within the electronics shelter (see below). All
equipment tested and/or aligned per QWI specifications and information logged in database. Any discrepancies noted
below. Equipment to include: VHF radios, HF radio, weather xmtr(s), mux(s), microwave(s), inverter, modem(s), low voltage
disconnect, receivers, patch panel(s), punch blocks and associated wiring/cabling, and all ventilation equipment. This list is
not all inclusive.

Wind Generator Tower

Not Applicable

General Structure Inspection includes checking structural integrity of all shelter attachment anchors and hardware, ensuring
that hardware is present and tightened to manufacturer's specifications. No leaks, rot, corrosion, ice damage or other
problems exist that could present future problems.
General Structure Notes:

Battery Charger Inspection

Not Applicable

Battery Charger inspection includes checking for correct output voltages, ensuring fuses are installed and correctly rated,
ensuring all cabling installed correctly and of appropriate gauge. Clean filter.
Battery Charger Notes:

General Cleanup and Departure Inspection

Satisfactory

Inspection includes bundling and combining extra waste and placing near fuel tanks for removal during refuel, ensuring all
switches in appropriate spots (generators, exhaust fan, master batteries, lights off, etc...), inventory of site consumables
taken (MRE's, Drinking H20, Lube Oil, Filters, Propane, Pads, etc....), Ops check with watchstander and all tools/gear
gathered and removed.
