Why grow up? On one hand, growing
up means fun and independence, yet on
the other hand growing up means re

for the responsibilities needed for the

"adult" part of growing up. But do we

really have to "grow-up"? Does grow

ing up mean having to wear business

suits and frowny faces, and yell when

the music is too loud? Does growing

up mean we have to stop having fun?

As shown by the students and faculty

here at Buffalo High School, the answer

Nintendo

is "NO"! We may be growing up on

the outside, but on the inside we have

all the curiousities of a five-year-old.

Hopefully despite being caught between

independence and immaturity, finding a

way to grow-up without "growing-up"

is possible.

Tabitha Tessmei is a wild, crazy, future veteranarian. She enjoys

though liding a horse is not always a smooth ride, riding relaxes her. No matter how much stress fils her day she can
always hop on a horse & have fun. During high school Tabitha always had a hard time staying up late to finish her home-

woik o) study. Late night study sessions leave her drained & exhausted the next morning. You might be wondering, "Why
would she stay up later to do her homework, when she could always just do it later?" Tabitha has to stay caught up on her
work, because she is aspu ing to be a great veterinarian. She also wants to have a farm on the side.Ailhough, when she was
she wanted to be a cowgirl. Last year Tabitha competed in the Speed the Light bike-a-thon with two of
her Inends. ley lode filty- two miles & felt like they almost kiled themselves. In the end, Tabitha thought the near death
experience was wort 1 the thil. Tabitha s fondest memory came from last year in her biology class. When a guy jumped out
of the win ow. is sophomores favorite quote is, "If God had wanted me to touch my toes he would have put them on my
knees. Tabitha has a veiy close bond with her sister Charity. They are not only sisters, but great friends. Tabitha Tessmer is

a gieat giil with a very positive & friendly attitude. She has a solid plan for her future, an admiration for her older sister, &

Kassie Rogers, a tough freshmen girl, who used to have a "thing" for space and a weak spot in her heart for kids enjoys
hanging out with her sister and friends. Kassie is a daredevil. When she was only ten years old she stole her parents car and
went on a joy ride. She just decided to take it out for a little fun on a boring day. She has had a hard time with her locker being
in a different hallway than all of her classes. When Kassie grows up she wants to be a pre-natal nurse or a pediatrician. She

loves kids, and wants to do something involving children. Although, when she was young she wanted to be an astronaut. \n the
next ten years Kassie hopes to have her career off to a good start. She would also like to have a nice steady boyiriend. Kassie
was really sad when Mr. Thompson passed away. His class was her favorite part ol school, because he was so cool. It Kassie
could do one thing different, she would call her friends more often. You never know when they won't be there to answer the

phone. Furthermore, Kassie admires all of the heavy metal bands who make it in the music business. She also admires the
bands that haven't been discovered yet. Kassie's favorite band is Korn because they '^rock my face off!'" So if \ ou like bands
that rock, you should talk to Kassie. You might have more in common than you think.

she has to have great leg muscles after a fifty-two mile bike-a-thon. So next time you see her walking by. smile & say hello.
