Bloom Culture

My final project depicts a social network that connects local business owners
in Oklahoma City for authentic community over comparison. I believe that the
rhetoric choice is innovative in depicting the development and utilization of social
networking. My goal for this assignment was to replicate an organization that
individuals could identify with in order to better understand the influence of social
media. The aesthetic is cohesive and identifiable to Bloom Culture establishing
credibility as a legitimate organization with purpose.
My primary research is based on the experience in Oklahoma Citys local
community and interaction with business owners. The evidence I provide as to why
an entrepreneur should join is based on secondary research I have analyzed related
to my topic: How social media effects the development of local business in a
community. I believe that the exigency in this topic is the development of
microblogging and its limitless capacity. If social networks such as, Twitter,
Instagram, and Facebook were non-existent, truthfully yes, an individual would
arguably be more engaged with their surrounding instead of virtually invested in a
4.87 x 2.31 screen. There are certainly limitations to virtual networking. However,
the absence of these platforms would make it almost impossible for a business to
excel much less be known. The best illustration I can give is the following,
In 2012, I worked for Collected Thread, a small boutique store in Oklahoma
City. Collected Thread was one of the very first shops to carry Raven and Lily, a fair-
trade design company dedicated to empowering women. We created a blog post
featuring the new artist and shared via Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. A girl in
San Diego came across our post and consistently shared are product. This
initiated an on going ripple effect through a global community, growing our client
based through one media post. Today, Collected Thread is continually growing their
social network follower base and has been recognized by Raven and Lilly as one of
their number one carriers.
My three media choices are web development and design, creating a logo
through Photoshop, and a graphic through Easel.ly. The three media choices work
cohesively and build the Bloom Culture brand. The website is designed with user
experience in mind, making the navigation bar identifiable and related to each
subject matter. The final project meets the following requirements of three media
sources, primary research, and applying the knowledge of my sources from the
annotated bibliography.

This is Bloom Culture.
