Miniature Piezo Controlled Rotation Stage

The NanoFlex rotation stage has been designed to provide a miniature rotation platform for
use with lasers and optical components such as diffraction gratings. The optical component is
mounted on the 20 x 20mm top plate. The stage provides 5 of manual rotation and 1
arcminutes of piezoelectric control with a resolution of 1 arcsecond. Typical dynamic response
is from DC to 500Hz. The manual rotation is controlled by a 100 TPI fine adjustment screw
with an exposed hex socket. An Allen key is supplied with each mount.

Specifications

The internal piezoelectric actuator requires a voltage from 0 to 75VDC. Each mount is
provided with a 3 meter long cable with SMC connectors. Thorlabs offers a number of piezo
controllers, please see the Drive Electronics section that starts on page 340 for details.
