UTC55 Ultra Thin Client
The UTC55 enables you to dramatically cut computing costs by sharing the untapped
power of existing PCs. The UTC55 access terminal,Ethernet extension protocol, and terminal
services software work together to efficiently harness excess computing capacity and enable
multiple users to share a single PC. Best of all, IT staff and end users do not need special training
because this end-to-end solution is easy to manage and is compatible with standard PC
applications.

System Configuration
With the Kingsem solution, each user still has a standard monitor, keyboard, mouse and
speakers.However, instead of connecting directly to a PC, these peripherals connect to the
UTC55 access terminal on their desk. The UTC55 has no local USB ports preventing users from
connecting USB flash drives (if USB flash drive support is required refer to the UTC56 and
UTC58).The solid state UTC55 connects securely over standard Ethernet to the host PC using the
high-performance Kingsem User eXtension Protocol (UXP).The UTC terminal services software
divides the PC’s resources into independent sessions that give each user their own full PC
experience. Up to ten users can be supported from one PC when running on a desktop operating
system such as Microsoft Windows XP.With a server operating system on the host (Linux or
Microsoft Windows 2003 Server) up to 30 users* can be supported simultaneously. The UTC
terminal services software also works with the UTC series software which add more centralized
management capabilities such as remote monitoring and host PC data backup. By delivering all

*Note: the maximum number of users varies depending on the number of processor cores, the
amount of memory, the type of hard drive on the host computer, the type of OS, and
administrative privileges. To support more than 10 users from one computer, you must use
Microsoft Server 2003 or Linux.
Kit Contents
UTC55 Kit includes access terminal, power supply/cord, software installation & user’s guide
CD/license, Quick Install Guide and monitor mounting bracket. PC, monitor, PS/2 keyboard, PS/2
mouse, speakers and other peripherals are NOT included and must be purchased separately.

UTC Ultra Thin Client series
The UTC55 bring all in a stylish new smaller chassis (just 1 inch tall and 4.5 inches square)
that takes absolutely no desktop space at all when mounted to the back of a monitor. We even
include the mounting bracket at no charge. Of course, UTC55 include VGA support (resolutions up
to 1280x1024), an Ethernet connection, PS/2 keyboard and mouse ports, audio output, and power
cable connections. The UTC55 does not have the USB port or microphone input and is
recommended for the ultimate in economy and security.
The UTC56 has all of UTC55 ‘s benefits, and The UTC56 has USB Flash memory port,The
UTC56 can use the USB Flash memory and some USB equipment(like USB camer,USB printer
etc).
The UTC58 bring enhanced graphics performance (with improved color depth and
widescreen support) and a microphone port―all in a stylish new smaller chassis (just 1 inch
tall and 4.5 inches square) that takes absolutely no desktop space at all when mounted to the

Configure the access terminal
1. Click the “Options” button
