OBIEE 10G Vs 11G

Architecture
1.
In 10 G by default web server OC4J . however it is not recommended for production
deployment .Hence we used to use training and development box purpose

In 11G by default web server is web logic server

In 10G for production box we used to use IIS web server

In 11G(11.1.1.7) all six
servers(OBIS,OBIPS,OBIJH,OBISCH,OBICC,OBIEssBaseAgnt) are integrated as OPMN
.In 10g there is no OPMN

In 10g EM/Console are not available .

In 11G predefined schemas DEV_BIPLATFORM ,DEV_MDS are available with the
installation of RCU
Physical Layer

In 10G there is no repository level password

1n 10G back end we have mainly two folders
1. ORACLEBI (stores RPD relevant info)
2. ORACLEBIDATA (stores web catalog relevant info)

For physical join purpose we have two buttons

Navigate to D:\OracleBI\server\Config
2. open NQSCONFIG.INI file
3. change configuration of repository section as shown below | save | close

a. go to run
b. type services.msc
c. right click on Oracle BI Server

3. verify the log file of OBIS
a. Navigate to D:\OracleBI\server\Log
b. open nqserver.log file
c. press ctrl+end
d. observe the rpd name loaded in OBIS
3. Develop sample report using our rpd
a. make sure start oc4j and OBIPS server started
b. go to start oracle business intelligence Click on presentation services
c. provide username as Administrator password as RRitec123
d. click on answers link click on B206_SupplierSalesRep Click on year
,region,dollars columns click on results
e. observe output
