Help Achieve 1 Million Rama Namas by Hanuman Jayanthi

Dear devotee,
Sriram, Sriram, Sriram: This 'Sriram Japam' has provided spiritual solace and fulfillment for
crores of devotees since time immemorial. It's recital and recording have taken many forms and
purposes. The upliftment of Shri Valmiki is but one glorious example of its power; it was able to
transform the dreaded dacoit into a sage. Many institutions including the Chinmaya mission, the
Chinna Jeer foundation, and others have 'Rama Nama' banks. These banks are repositories of
'Rama Nama' in written form.
During the past year, Pandit Govind Srinivasan has been collecting the 'Rama Nama' which is
referred to as the 'Ramkoti Patram'; and in fact, reflects his desire to collect 10 million 'Rama
Nama' writings. During the monthly Punarvasu celebrations, a garland of the most recent
'Ramakoti Patram' is offered to Lord Shri Hanuman. These exemplary works of devotion are then
preserved for posterity in a specially constructed case with a transparent glass screen.
Writing the 'Ramkoti Patram' has been a powerful expression of devotion for countless visitors to
the temple. Children also are enthusiastic participants in this activity. It is simple to learn and the
rewards are plentiful.
Pandit Govindji has been able to collect 1,000 'Ramkoti Patram' i.e., approximately 100,000
Rama Nama. It is his fervent desire to collect 10,000 "Ramkoti Patram', i.e., a million Rama
Nama by Hanuman Jayanthi (April 4th, 2015). It is a challenging task, but one that we can
collectively achieve, and we invite you to join us in exceeding this goal. We sincerely request
you to start by writing one yourself. Next, invite your family and friends to do the same. Lastly,
spread the word amongst others.

The Ramkoti patram is available in the temple or can be downloaded from the web

As mentioned earlier, there is a suggested minimum donation of $11/- per submission. The funds
collected help the temple maintain this program and may also contribute towards securing a
permanent abode for the 'Sri Ram Parivar'.
