A. Targets/Objectives/Goals
The targets given to me in 2014 included:
a) Preparing dataset of Civilian Personnel for conducting polls and counting of
votes for Parliamentary Elections, 2014.
b) Preparing dataset of Police Personnel for Parliamentary Elections, 2014.
c) Modifying and implementing the software provided from State for
randomization of Civilian Personnel for conduction polls and counting of
votes for Parliamentary Elections, 2014.
d) Modifying the software to randomize police personnel for Parliamentary
Elections, 2014.
e) Developing a software for randomization of EVM for Parliamentary
Elections, 2014.
f) Setting up of IT infrastructure in Counting Booths.
g) Developing a software for centralized management of data during
counting of votes for Parliamentary Elections, 2014.
h) Supervising data entry and preparation of final reports during counting of
votes for Parliamentary Elections, 2014.
i) Supervising and management of entry of Ration Cards under National
Food Security Mission.
j) Developing a software for randomised allotment of home guards.
k) Extending the software for Project for Combating malnutrition and Under 5
Mortality to incorporate children shifted from one centre to another.
l) Optimizing the database for the above software.
m) Customize the above software for various other districts of Assam and
West Bengal.
n) Developing a software for managing the process of employment of jounior
assistants in the District.
o) Conducting Computer Test for the candidates selected after written test
for employment as jounior assistants.

B. Achievements
The achievements regarding the above targets are as follows:
a) Prepared a database of 7376 civilian employees for conducting polls and
counting of votes for Parliamentary Elections, 2014.
b) Prepared a database of 1423 Police Personnel for Nagaon and Morigaon
Districts as they fall under same police district.
c) Added some reports in the software provided.
d) Modified some php code in the software to make it suitable for
randomization of Police Personnel.
e) Developed a software in php and mysql to randomise the EVM allocation
to polling stations.
f) Successfully managed to set up infrastructure to provide internet and LAN
connectivity in all the counting booths.
g) Developed a software in php and mysql for centralized entry of counting
results.
h) Supervised entry of data in ECI website and prepared the reports.
i) Supervised entry of data of 442012 ration card holders under NFSM.
j) Developed a software in php and mysql to randomise the allocation of
home guards.
k) Modified the code in VB.net for Project for Combating malnutrition and
Under 5 Mortality to incorporate children shifted from one centre to
another.
l) Optimised the database to make it more responsive as it had stared to
slow down when number of records crossed 1 Crore. Also designed a
document database to port this database to MongoDB which will make the
system even more responsive.
m) Changed the reports from Assamese to Bengali and made other
modifications to enable other districts to implement this project.
n) Developed a software to allocate test venue to the candidates, generate
call letter and entry of marks of about 4000 applicants for the process of
employment as jounior assistants.
o) Conducted Computer Test for about 200 applicants who qualified for
Interview.
