MISSION
The Colleges purpose is to provide education at a higher level within broadly understood socioeconomic sciences. Realizing its mission the College seeks to promote higher education among
the youths in the Lower Silesia region of Poland, and to equip its graduate with knowledge and
competencies sought after by employers in a wide range of modern industries and business
world. Our graduates might not be walking encyclopedias, but they undoubtedly are able to
cope with professional problems in every-day life.
PROFILE
The College strives to enhance the learning experience with first-class bachelor and master degree programmes, people, and facilities. At all departments of the College and both study cycles
you have the advantage of high-quality teaching provided by the academic staff who are experts
in their fields, and whose research results are recognized at national and international levels. You
come into contact with academic specialists working at the forefront of their subjects and outstanding managers offering you their exceptional practical knowledge. The staff diversification
adds additional value to your educational process. The College has been maintaining many national and currently developing international university-to-university and university-to-business
contacts, following its policy of openness to practice and wider world.
FACTS & FIGURES
The College is a private, non-profit HE institution established in 1995. It is recognized by and registered with the Polish Ministry of Education as the 59th private HE establishment in Poland on
the grounds of the Decision of the Minister dated on 11 May 1995. The standard of teaching in
the College has been scrutinized and positively assessed by the State Accreditation Committee
which is the national HE quality assurance body evaluating the quality of teaching and verifying
compliance with the requirements for higher-education degree programmes in Poland. The College has been ranked high among other private-recognized HE institutions by various independent evaluators at regional (1st position) and national (top-ten) levels. With 7 000 graduates
and the permanent faculty reaching almost 100 academic staff, the College has grown up today
to more than 2 500 students.
THE WAY IT WORKS
The Colleges Council makes its highest collegiate decision-making body. At a departmental level
decisions are made by the Departmental Councils which consist of all holders of Professor degree, representatives of the faculty and other staff, and the Students Union. The work of councils is supported by a number of accompanying collegiate bodies, including committees for study
programmes quality or faculty staff evaluation. The College President Adam Borberg provides
leadership to the College in relation to its overall mission and the policies. The administrative
leadership to day-to-day work of the College and advise on difficult points at issue are provided
by the College Chancellor Anna Manek, MSc. The College Rector Grazyna BerentowiczSobczak, PhD is the full-time head of the College and its principal academic officer. The duties
and responsibilities related to the College study programmes are delegated to the Vice-Rector
Marian W. Brol, PhD.

STRUCTURE
Students enrolled with the College belong to one of its four departments:
Department of Finance and Banking
Department of Management
Department of Social Sciences
Department of Computer Applications.
The departments provide all teaching and supervisions. They also organise extra seminars, lectures and workshops, often with reputed speakers. The Colleges students have the advantage of
teaching in two forms: they attend lectures, seminars and practicals alongside other students,
while enjoying more personal tuition organised by every department.
The Faculty members belong either to one of the eight Sections (for Finance, Accounting, Marketing, Management, Social Sciences and Economy Law, Quantitative Methods, and Computer
Applications) spanning the departments and chaired by a senior Professor, or to the Foreign Language Centre and Physical Education Centre.
PREMISES & FACILITIES
The College premises three modernized buildings of ca. 5 000 sq. m, are located in the very city
centre, close to the Old Town of Wroclaw, within a 10-minute walk from the main railway / bus
stations, and an easy reach from the Wroclaw-Strachowice airport. The buildings are housing:
more than 40 well-equipped classrooms and lecture theatres,
the library and reading room with an access to a range of electronic sources of information,
IT facilities (computer suites, e-College platform),
language facilities
cozy lounges/ cafeterias.
WROCLAW
The College seat is Wroclaw, the historical and economic capital of Lower Silesia region of Poland. The city of Wroclaw, with its history dating back to the year of 1000, is famous around Europe as a multicultural microcosm, bustling with all types of educational and cultural activities.
Wroclaw is located on the Oder (Odra) River in southwestern Poland, 160 km from Germany, 120
km from the Czech Republic and about 350 km southwest of Warsaw the capital of Poland. It is
a big city in transformation, bustling with activity. Proud of its long scholarly and cultural tradition, Wroclaw is the third largest academic center of Poland, home to 16 HE institutions, with
current enrollment of more than 55 000 students. There are universities, colleges, technical universities and institutes throughout the city. Some of them are the oldest in the world and some
of them are relatively new. But they are all good. And Polish academics have been famous since
Copernicus' time.
