SYNOPSIS

Introduction
The title of the project is Financial Analysis for the past 5years with reference to Dakshina Kannada Milk Producers
Union Limited Kulashekara Mangalore. Because of growing importance of the management the practical training has
got vital role to play.The practical knowledge help to analyze the problem which will be arise in the routine course of
the business organization. The financial analysis regarding DKMU provides a bird eye view of whole summary of
financial statements and this will help in decision making process and also in the growth and development of business
organization.
Objectives of the study
The main purpose is to examine analyze and interpret the financial statement of Dakshina Kannada Milk Producers
Union Limited Kulashekara Mangalore for the past 5years. The specific objectives are

To compare the annual performance of DKMUL over the period of the 5 years.

To understand the leverage position of the company.
To analyze the management of finance, this plays a vital role in the present and future development of the
organization.

Statement of the problem

The financial analysis for the past 5years is done on the basis of ratio in order to know the companys performance as
well as their future progress.
Scope of the study
The scope of the study is mainly highlighting to the financial analysis of DKMUL.my project area is mainly on
financial performance of DKMUL. In order to draw meaningful financial sketch of an organization the data pertaining
to the period of 5years from 2010-11to 2014-15 are selected and study covers mainly of ratios of various kinds .It

Methodology
The methodology used to collect needful information is both primary as well as secondary data.

Primary data: Primary data is used to collect information by visiting DKMUL and personal interaction with
departments leads and staff members.
Secondary data: most of the information is collected by .the financial statements and reports .other figures
have been taken from annual reports of DKMUL.

Vision

To march forward with a missionary zeal which will make KMF a trailblazer of exemplary performance and
achievements beckoning other milk federations in the country in pursuit of total emulation of its good deeds.
To ensure prosperity of the rural Milk producers who are ultimate owners of the Federation.
To promote producer oriented viable cooperative society to impart an impetus to rural income, dairy
productivity and rural employment.

Mission
1. Union aims to help its members to increase milk productions and produce goods quality milk by extending
need based services, thereby improving their economic and social development while ensuring the finanacial
validity of the union.
2. Union also strives to satisfy the customers by providing continuously high quality milk products thereby
becoming number one at national level.
Limitations of the study

Lack of information availability.

Only financial aspects are covered to conclude the overall performance of the DKMUL.
Study mainly based on the published information provided by the concern.
Some of the information was not disclosed by the DKMUL as they have to maintain secrecy.
Information has to be collected during the office hours of the company employees this lead some sort of
inconvenience from them and me.
