Applications are invited on prescribed format for the following assignment in a purely time bound
research project undertaken in the School of Earth, Ocean & Climate Sciences of this Institute.

Project Scientist: 32,000 - 35,200 - 38,400 (plus 20% HRA).
Sr. Project Scientist: 40,000 44,000 48,400 (plus 20% HRA)

Qualification & Experiences

Senior Research Fellow: 1st Class M. Tech Atmospheric & Ocean Sciences/
technology, Physics, Computer Science & Technology with good academic
record or 1st class M.Sc. with good academic record in Meteorology/
Oceanography/ Physics/ Mathematics/ Computer Science with minimum of
2 years research experience in Atmospheric Sciences or B. Tech with good
academic record and minimum of 2 years research experience in
Atmospheric Sciences.
Project Scientist: Ph. D in Atmospheric Sciences/ Oceanography (OR) 1st
Class M. Tech or equivalent in Atmospheric Sciences/ Oceanography/
Physics/ Mathematics with good academic record and minimum of 3 year
research experience in Atmospheric Modelling (OR) 1st Class M.Sc. with
good academic record and minimum of 5 years research experience in
Atmospheric Modelling (OR) 1st Class B. Tech with good academic record
with 5 years working experience in High Performance Computing use in
atmospheric Modelling. Experience in weather and climate studies is
desired.
Sr. Project Scientist: Ph.D. or equivalent at the preceding degree in
Atmospheric Sciences/ Meteorology/ Oceanography/ Physics/ Mathematics
with 1 year research experience or M. Tech. 1st class or equivalent with 4
years experience or B. Tech./ M.Sc. 1st class or equivalent with 6 years
experience in Atmospheric Sciences / Mathematical Modelling.

Duration of the Project

Three Years
