Our group collaborated with the 9 members of Group 6 throughout the course of this
project as they were assigned the same company as us. Owing to the teamwork and co-operation
shown by members of both groups, we were able to ensure that this project ran smoothly and
without any major difficulties. As the company is a modest-sized one, we agreed with the
members of Group 6 to allocate a certain number of members from each group respectively, per
visit. This was done to ensure that the business and the running of the company would not be
affected in the slightest bit.
Due to the companys small size, the visits were planned out in such a way that a total of
4 or 5 people (from both groups) would participate each time, to ensure that the members would
be able to maximize their learning experience, as well as to prevent disruption of the companys
business and goings-on.

From the Q&A session, we were informed that Tru-one Konsep Sendirian Berhad was the
brainchild of a group of 5 people, who successfully founded this company 8 years ago. The
primary reasons leading to the inception of this company, as told to us by Mr. Chew Chung Wen,
the general sales manager, were their desire and intention to enhance the quality of public

healthcare, and to rise as a potent competitor in the field of laboratory and medical equipment.
The company currently has 25 staff consisting of pharmacists, an electrical and electronics
(E&E) engineer, biotechnologists, a chemist, and sales staff. The company has been conferred
Bumiputera status.
Basically, Tru-one Konsep Sendirian Berhad supplies a wide array of medical and
laboratory equipment, and their target customers are hospital laboratories, science laboratories in
universities, and more. Among the main customers supplied include public health centers, the
Fishery Research Department, Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM), the Chemistry Department,
and so on. The company also supplies this equipment to local health clinics and government
health centers. Among the products supplied by this company include chemistry analysers,
equipment to test for laminar flow, to carry out centrifugation and coagulation, and
haematological tests, biosafety cabinets, blood culture machines, microscopes, and histology
slides.
The company has ties with manufacturers from all across the globe, such as the United
States of America, Singapore, Japan and Italy, who supply high-quality and reliable products to
the company to be distributed. According to Mr. Chew, the most lucrative and profitable products
supplied by Tru-one Konsep Sendirian Berhad which gain the highest percentage of orders
annually are plastic and glassware, such as test tubes, slides and beakers, as they are routinely
used and required by the customers.
We were also informed that this company faces stiff competition as there are
approximately fifty to sixty similar companies vying for the business of customers in the state of
Sabah itself. Thus, the employees of this company strive against all odds to be a cut above the
rest, to ensure that Tru-one Konsep Sendirian Berhad maintains its stronghold on the medical and
laboratory needs industry. In the words of Mr. Chew, they pay full attention to the wants, needs
and comments of their customers, as the customers are their best teachers in the process of
improving the company and spurring it to greater heights.
To step up the efficiency of the companys operations, the staff members frequently
brainstorm and have meetings to improve and increase the level of motivation among the team
members. Awards such as commission and special advantages are also given out as a form of

incentive. Besides that, regional surveys are carried out to learn more about the market in Sabah,
thus enabling the staff to plan the companys marketing strategies. As for service strategies, the
company practices the principle of going to the customers, in which back-up solutions and plans
are ever-present to attract the interest of customers should any emergencies arise. The company
also places utmost importance on the prices of the products, which reasonably correspond with
the quality and performance potential of the products offered. The customers are always notified
of the reasons as to why a particular product is cheaper or more expensive than the competitors
quoted prices.
In addition to that, the customer-approach principle is used in the planning of
promotional strategies, whereby the appropriate and relevant machines or instruments are
promoted to the customers and potential buyers, depending on their logistics and requirements.
Regarding marketing analysis, the company keeps track of the customers history of purchases
and these findings are discussed by the team members, to identify why certain products sell
better than others, and ways to solve and overcome such problems are deliberated carefully.
Moreover, the company carries out competitor analysis by identifying their possible competitors,
after which, the level of competition is targeted. Next, information about the competitors, such as
their servicing, pricing and reputation, are ethically obtained through customers and other
available sources such as the World Wide Web.
According to Mr. Chew, one of the goals of the company is to create new targets which
will need to be achieved annually. Besides that, this company is forecasted to grow healthily to
provide more opportunities and careers for the people of Sabah. In the next few years, the
company aspires to expand as a franchise throughout Sabah, whereas in the long run, there are
plans to open branches in Sarawak and even Peninsular Malaysia. We were told that the workers
of Tru-one Konsep Sendirian Berhad have excellent teamwork skills and work synergistically to
achieve the goals of the company. The company is currently striving towards achieving the
highest accolades in the business field, and they are working on obtaining ISO certification for
the products they distribute.

Thankfully, our group has achieved all of the objectives thanks to the cooperation of the
company. We visited the company four times in total. A lot has been learned throughout the
visits. We evaluated our achievement of objectives after each and every visit. This was carried
out by using the evaluation and monitoring form.

3.0 Implementation and effectiveness of business strategy (proposed) in achieving the

objective
There were seven strategies we intended to implement in this practicum.

1) Form a committee and outline the specific job scope

In order to ensure that all of our group members would play their roles excellently
throughout this practicum, all of us had a discussion and formed our committee. We felt that by
forming a committee, we would be able to decrease the individual workload, and it would also
ensure the efficiency of this particular activity. Each member of the group was assigned with a
specific job by the president who was the mastermind of the entire project, and the person who
was responsible to monitor the flow of this activity. After forming a committee, the group,
consisting of 10 people, was divided into 4 sub-groups. Each sub-group was assigned one
specific date for a visit to the company. Besides that, as this was a collaboration with group 6, we
also had a discussion with them to ensure the visits went smoothly. All of us worked according to
our plan, and sometimes we also voiced out our ideas or opinions for better options or solutions
to problems. After completing this activity, all of us agreed that forming a proper committee is
the most important step in carrying out a project like this, and it is the first thing that needs to be
done so that all of us will know what to achieve, and we will work in a proper way to avoid any
mistakes that will lead to failure. Therefore, this is a good form of work implementation which
enabled us to complete our job successfully. We would like to extend our gratitude to our
president for her brilliant plans and excellent leadership.
2) Conduct a briefing before each visit
For each visit, we had already planned out some objectives that needed to be achieved so that
each of us will have a clear idea of what should be done during each visit. Each sub-group had a
briefing together one day before each visit. This was done to ensure that all of us knew what to
achieve and we also discussed transportation arrangements regarding our respective visits. A
phone call to the company was made by one of the sub-group members to confirm the visit, as
well as to remind the companys representative that we would be making a trip to their premises.
This implementation was effective because we were able to avoid any complications or
misunderstandings between the group members and the company.
3) Prepare questionnaires as a medium in conducting the interview
All of us agreed to conduct our interview with the company using questionnaire as our main
medium to obtain information. We prepared our own questions for each session according to the

specific objectives determined beforehand. For each visit, the respective groups were given the
responsibility to ensure that the questionnaires would be answered completely by the companys
representative. In addition, to ensure each visit went smoothly, all of us gave our full cooperation
and combined our ideas to create and produce the questionnaires before the 4 visits took place.
Based on the questionnaires, the delegates understood their objectives well and the questions
projected also served as a guide for the delegates in asking questions. In addition, they could also
modify the questions based on different circumstances. All questions were answered by the
company and this helped us indefinitely in achieving our visit objectives. Therefore, all of us
agreed that by using this mode of implementation, it helped us in increasing our understanding
about the company and successfully achieving our objectives.
4) Prepare a log book and undergo monitoring by supervisor
The attendances of group members at each meeting and also for each visit were recorded in a
log book. This log book was continuously monitored by our supervisor, Dr. Mohammad Zahirul
Hoque. We also sought guidance and opinions from our supervisor. We made regular calls to our
supervisor to inform him about our visits and to obtain his opinions when it was not possible to
meet him face-to-face. Our supervisor played his role very well and with this, we were able to
construct our report in a much better way. Thus, we unanimously agreed that a log book and
monitoring from a supervisor is a must to ensure that all of the group members will participate
and give their utmost contribution to achieve what we have aimed for.
5) Take photos and make a report after each visit
For each visit, we were asked to take at least two photos as proof and evidence of our visits.
All of these photos would be included in our final report. Besides that, we were also instructed to
complete our visit reports on the day we visited the company, so as to avoid any last minute work
which would lead to a lower quality of work being submitted. By doing the report earlier, we
were able to amend and edit any grammar mistakes or any incomplete points in our report. Thus,
this is a good implementation that should be practiced so that students will be able to complete
their work promptly and successfully.
6) Maintain a good relationship with the company

We realized that a good relationship between the students and the company was essential to
achieve the objectives of this activity. As a result, all of us tried our level best to maintain a good
relationship with the company so that we could have a relaxed, comfortable environment during
our interview sessions and to avoid any awkwardness throughout the duration of the project. By
having a good relationship, we were able to communicate better and gain more information from
the company. A give-and-take concept was practised to maintain this good relationship. All of
our group members would negotiate a specific date for each visit with the company. If the
company was found to be busy on the particular date that we had suggested, they would usually
suggest a more suitable date which would be more favourable for both parties. We, as the
students and visitors to this company, respect the opinions of the company and complied to their
requests, and by doing so, we were able to maintain a stable, good relationship with the
company. Thus, we found that this implementation was indeed essential for us in this activity.
7) Planning, organizing, leading and controlling
In order to achieve our objectives, we implemented the four functions of management,
namely planning, organizing, leading and controlling. Planning was carried out for all the stages
of the practicum project from the beginning of the preparation of the proposal to the finishing of
the report. These four functions served as a key or framework to achieve our ultimate goal. In the
early stages of planning, Group 5 members thought out the goals and objectives of the practicum
project. Furthermore, we also discussed the preliminary plans that were to be carried out for this
practicum project. The preliminary plans were presented in the working paper / proposal. Via this
experience, we surmised that planning is important because it will provide better coordination
and teamwork among the group members. Organization skills focus on the division,
coordination, and control of tasks and the flow of information within the organization. It is in this
function that managers distribute authority to job holders. In our case, we divided the entire
workload equally amongst ourselves to complete the tasks: the proposal, visitations and
practicum report.
4.0 Problem-solving skills and techniques applied in the practicum project
We faced a few problems and obstacles in the course of completing Group 5s practicum
project. To solve these problems, we set up a committee and all of us gave our full commitment

in order to accomplish this programme. Job distribution was done in the early stages, so that each
and every member in Group 5 would understand just how important their role in running this
program was. For instance, the group leader or chairperson was the person in charge of the
entrepreneurship program for our group. She would be monitoring and making the final decision
if need be, for the group. The vice chairperson would assist the chairperson. The secretary would
be recording the meeting minutes and carrying out the jotter job. She would be assisted by her
assistant. For the treasurer, she would handle the financial aspect and budget for the project that
we conducted. There are 4 people who were made the activity coordinators. They would be
responsible to contact the company and inform the company about the visits. Lastly, one of us
was assigned as the person in charge of transportation.
Firstly, we had problems with transportation. This was because only one of our group
members, Kaysha, has a car., which posed a logistical problem for us. Thus, the person in-charge
of transportation came out with the best solution to solve out this problem. She negotiated with
the leader of group 6 in order to carpool during the visits. Hence, for each visit, some of the
Group 5 members were assigned to visit Tru-One Konsep Sendirian Berhad together with
members of Group 6. Hence, we divided our group into 4 sub-groups to overcome the
transportation problem. The table below shows the sub-groups of Group 5 and the respective
dates of the visits.

As almost all of us come from Peninsular Malaysia and we are still not very familiar with
Kota Kinabalu, we faced some difficulties in finding our way to the company with only a written
address given, during the first visit. To overcome this, we called and spoke to the company
representative throughout the journey in order to get the accurate directions to get to the
companys premises. Finally, the first sub-group arrived safely at the company, even though their
arrival was later than scheduled. For the following visits, the rest of our members managed to get
there with virtually no problems.
Besides that, the company is located in the middle of the city. Thus, the traffic is always
at its peak around lunchtime and in the evening when the working class are heading home from
their workplaces. The journey to the company took us about 40 minutes from Universiti
Malaysia Sabah for each visit. Hence, we tried our best to make an appointment with the
company at around 3pm in order to avoid time-wasting by being caught in the heavy traffic jam
during peak hours. However, the company found it hard to accommodate us in the afternoon due
to their own reasons, and for that, we had to go there in the early morning for the 3 rd and 4th
visits. Although it took us quite a long time to reach the company, we made a conscious effort to

avoid speeding and the respective drivers drove carefully within the speed limit, all the way to
the company, most importantly to ensure our safety and to comply with road rules.
The dates stated in the table above were the dates that we planned to visit the company.
However, due to their busy business schedule which changed quite often, we had to postpone the
3rd and 4th visits to other days. This was a problem for us because we had to synchronize these
events with our own schedules. But in the end, we managed to overcome this by postponing the
last two visits to 17th May 2013 and 21st May 2013 for the third and fourth visits respectively
which was a win-win situation for both the company and the delegates who were going on the
last 2 visits.
There were relevant business strategies which were used to solve the problems. Luckily,
these critical skills were taught to us by Madam Adeline Tam Yin Ling during our
Entrepreneurship lectures. One of the main components of our Entrepreneurship lectures,
management was a crucial business strategy that helped us a lot in solving our problems.
Management involves administering and coordinating the resources efficiently & effectively in
order to accomplish the goals of the organization. Organization is a group of people working
together with full of effort to achieve the same goal or objective. In fact, all the Group 5
members had to work hand in hand in order to accomplish our goals and objectives of the
practicum project.
Each group member had their own responsibilities to uphold and fulfil. The leader of
group 5, Tan Siew Qin, exhibited the qualities of a good leader, which are self-confidence and
the willingness to lead. She was involved in ensuring the project went according to plan. She was
also involved in making appointments to Tru-One Konsep Sendirian Berhad aside from the
activity coordinators. Controlling is a process to ensure that activities are completed in ways that
lead to the attainment of goals.
We also had financial problems, whereby the school was unable to support us financially
in this practicum. However, there were quite a lot of expenses incurred in the process of
completing this project. Therefore, we discussed this issue among the members and came out
with an agreement that we would collect money from each member of the group to cover the
costs needed.

In the end, with teamwork, hard work, perseverence and cooperation from each of the
members, we managed to solve each and every problem we were faced with. Every group
member adopted a proactive and accommodative approach, whereby the members strove to
achieve the highest quality of work possible, as well as to overcome the hurdles and obstacles
faced. Therefore, all of our problems were solved in the end. However, it was noted that each
problem was not easy to resolve, due to the dynamic and ever-changing environment while we
were carrying out our practicum project. Changes had to be made, for example, the rescheduling
of visitations and appointments with Tru-One Konsep Sendirian Berhad had to be arranged
promptly and efficiently. We are extremely grateful to the company for their understanding and
accommodation.
The main results of the practicum project were that all the objectives and goals of the
practicum project were accomplished. Although there were problems and difficulties along the
way, they were solved through the spirit of teamwork exhibited by the members of Group 5.
Therefore, this resulted in some changes while carrying out the visitations. However, the changes
that were made were able to increase the effectiveness and productivity of the project. We had
also gained extremely valuable exposure to their business which is related to the medical field.
Other that than, we gained important information from Tru-One Konsep Sendirian Berhad such
as knowledge regarding their administration, organization, operations, departments, human
resource, financial plan, products and services.
In conclusion, solving problems is a process of brain storming and it is a golden
opportunity for us to learn and enrich ourselves with new experiences. Group 5 members have
benefited extensively from this project and we are convinced that the knowledge gained would
benefit us in the future regardless of whether we decide to be involved in this particular business
in the future. This visitation was truly an eye opener and a hard-to-come by experience for all the
Group 5 members.

5.0 Lessons/experience gathered from the implementation of the practicum activity

The practical session involved each member of our group visiting the company as
representatives. We were assigned to Tru-One Konsep Sendirian Berhad, a company that is the
major provider of medical, research and laboratory needs in Sabah. The primary role of this
company is to act as a supplier of quality good and reasonable price medical and laboratory
needs to different hospitals and health care centres. It supplies accessories including medical
equipment, laboratory instruments, laboratory reagents and chemicals. Besides, it also supplies
scientific and pharmaceutical equipment, dental instruments and dialysis accessories, as well as
solutions.
As medical students, we have learned a lot from this practicum especially from the visits
to Tru-One Konsep Sendirian Berhad. We are very grateful because these visits have helped us to
gain knowledge which will be useful for us during the clinical years and also when we begin
working as medical practitioners in the near future.
Firstly, the lessons we have learnt are teamwork and cooperation. We faced a lot of
problems while conducting this visiting practicum. For example, dividing the work evenly
among group members, and planning our visits were indeed a challenge as equality had to be
maintained, and we had to adapt to the circumstances we were faced with. With the cooperation
of the group members, we came out with a committee which comprised the group members
according to their respective tasks: chairperson, vice chairperson, secretary and more, to enable
each group member would contribute and play their role in this program. Then, we had several
meetings amongst group members and group 6 members, in order to plan a suitable timetable of
dates to visit the company. We came out with a timetable which could accommodate each and
every representative, along with their transportation arrangements. This shows that we can work
well with other group members and make the best of any situation given to us. As medical
students, we really appreciate this lesson learned from the practicum, as it can enable us to have
good working ties with our colleagues when working as a doctor, so that the planning of work
can run smoothly and without any major problems.

Another important lesson that we have learnt is how to utilize proper management skills.
As we all know, management is a very important aspect in any type of company whether it is big

or small, because it determines the growth and wealth of the company. It is also important to
ensure that the progress of the company and work dedication can be carried out efficiently
without any delays. Through the visits, we were privileged enough to see how they manage their
company by dividing the job according to the employees professions in each of the departments.
Although people might think that doctors will not have to possess such detailed management
skills as they will only be working in a hospital setting, we feel that the gap between business
and medicine is narrowing as we become more integrated with one another, due to the synergistic
relationship both fields possess. Therefore, management skill is an important skill that all doctors
and future doctors should possess. The visits to Tru-One Konsep Sendirian Berhad have showed
us the other side of management which we have not been exposed to before, which will be very
necessary during our working days.
Furthermore, we have learnt planning skills. As we all know, the art of planning is a very
important aspect in any type of company whether it is big or small, because with proper and
strategic planning, a company can produce good and innovative ideas, and this greatly
determines the growth and wealth of the company. It is also important to ensure that the
companys progress and work dedication can be carried out efficiently without any delays. From
the visits to Tru-One Konsep Sendirian Berhad, we managed to gain lot of experience and
enhance our planning skills. The company frequently comes up with some strategies which help
in the selling of products. These include pricing strategies, promotion strategies and product
distribution strategies. These strategies contribute a lot to the marketing of their goods. Through
pricing strategy, it gives reasons to raise the price of a particular product, such as better quality of
the medical equipment and better service. By conducting promotion, they gather information
from the targeting market beforehand, which is from the hospital. Hospitals of different sizes
have different requirements of a wide array of products, thus, from the information gathered,
they would be able to better understand the needs of the hospitals and subsequently provide these
hospitals with suitable and usable equipment. By using product distribution strategies, the
company would be able to plan and target the locations to distribute the different products, such
as hospitals, pharmacies, research medical centres, medical schools, chemistry departments and
more.

We also learnt to be responsible and ever-willing to face challenges all the time. This is a
very important lesson that each and every one of us should possess, not only in work but also in
the course of our daily life. The company is willing to face any challenges that come their way,
mainly from the competitors. They carry out surveys about their competitors, mainly information
gathered from their conversations with customers. For example, they can attain information like
how many competitors they have, the price and brand of the competitors products, and their
weaknesses and benefits mainly in product and relationships. The companys workers function at
their best all the time to provide their customers with sophisticated service and professionalism
along with the constant abidance to work ethics.
On top of that, we also learned to be punctual. Punctuality was always a key factor in
visiting the company, because we had to manage our time properly in order to reach our
destination on time. Even though we planned to visit the company at 3p.m. for the first visit, we
lost our way and couldnt find our way to Tru-One Konsep Sendirian Berhad. This made us
reach our destination much later than usual. Since that, we learned not only to travel during nonpeak hours, but to also depart early from our school or hostel in order to avoid the wasting of
time due to unexpected circumstances. For the following visits, we visited the company early in
the morning to avoid heavy traffic and congestion. Punctuality will be very useful for us during
our clinical years and also during our working years as we will have to travel a lot from our
hostel to the hospitals, and we will not compromise our work ethics if we are always on time for
our appointments and scheduled obligations.
In conclusion, we have benefited a lot from our visit to Tru-One Konsep Sendirian
Berhad. We have learned a lot of skills especially soft skills which are rarely available in our
schools core subjects. These visits have really given us a whole new outlook on what lies
beyond our academics. We are very grateful that we have been given the opportunity to visit TruOne Konsep Sendirian Berhad through this entrepreneurship practicum which has given us such
valuable knowledge and experiences we will cherish for a lifetime.

6.0 Financial Report

The whole project was funded by us, the Group 5 members. We decided to collect RM
25 from each member. We agreed to contribute that amount to the group, and we also agreed to
divide the money equally among ourselves if there were to be any balance. Hence, our group
managed to collect RM 250 as our initial amount of money for this entrepreneurship program.
All along the course of this program, we bought stationery such as pens and log books for
writing purposes; costing RM 8.90, and gifts of appreciation and hampers worth RM 98 for TruOne Konsep Sendirian Berhad as a token of appreciation for their time and willingness to
accommodate us and explain diligently about their superb company. Other than that, we also
included the fuel expenses that cost RM 40 in total; due to the need of RM 10 for each visit.
Besides, we spent RM 7.50 for printing purposes, whereby we printed out our proposal and
report at a stationery shop.

7.0 Recommendation
Regarding our visit to the company of Tru-One Konsep Sdn. Bhd., here are some useful tips to
guide us if any one of us is planning to make a business.
1. Update ourselves with the needs of consumers
It is very crucial to know what the consumers need. Therefore, in the future we need to
make thorough observations of current marketing. Analyses are very important in
producing new products, which will enable them to be beneficial and useful to the
consumers. This is one of the strategies which can be practiced to achieve a high level of
business quality.
2. Expand business to other places
We have learned that we need to take risks in order to maximize our products sales by
opening another company branch at the local or international level. If it is at the
international level, we might as well promote local products that are not available
overseas. This would definitely attract the foreign customers to try our new products.
However, to open a branch of our company, we really need to make sure that we have a

very stable financial background which can sustain any potential setbacks we may
encounter.
3. Increase the quality of products
Another strategy to establish a business is by increasing the quality of products.
Consumers are very particular about getting value for money. Therefore, the products
need to be testified and certified by the authorities that are responsible to make sure that
the quality of product is at its best. This will reassure the consumers that there is no harm
in using such products.

4. Get candid input from the nearest people and customers

As human beings, we are not perfect in every aspect. Therefore we need people who can
guide us to be the best in anything we do by providing constructive criticism and
opinions. It is valuable to get points of view from colleagues, family members, key
employees who know us very well. They know our tendencies, our moods, the way we
think, our blind spots and our passions. As for customers, we can always distribute
questionnaires so that we can improve our company quality.
5. Achieve visions and missions
In order to achieve our long term goals, we must have a vision or have an eagle-eye view
of the current situation or opportunity. Planning our mission well so that we can achieve
our goal step by step would certainly be beneficial for our company. By right, this should
be shared to all the staff of the company so that everyone would play their role very well.
6. Always have back up plans
Sometimes plans just do not work out the way we want them to. Therefore, it is wise to
always be equipped and ready with other plans for different situations so that we can take
adapt ourselves should the need arise.
7. Make wise decisions
If we are adding a new product, increasing the customer service budget, reducing
overhead, permitting use of our name/trademark, entering into a co-venture agreement,
we should make a list of the potential advantages and disadvantages that will surface if

our decision has been made. By doing this, we will know if the decision is really good to
be made. Besides that, we must get opinions from others such as co-partners,
shareholders, employee or others who have much experience in the business world.
8. Hang out with people who have excellent judgment
There are so many subtleties about acquiring and developing good judgment that most of
the process comes best from friends, colleagues, competitors and staff that already have
great judgment. We can learn from them, in every conversation. We should make it count.
9. Have a good relationship with potential people in business
Starting a business is not something that is easy. A strategic plan must be devised so that
everything will run smoothly. Anyone who wants to start-up a business must make new
friends with people who possess potential for the future. Maybe someday we may need
help from them, be it financially, morally, or more. For example, such people can share
their expertise such as supplying the materials we need or can help us in starting our
business such as giving capital to our company.
10. Be trustworthy
Every business must be clean and completely free of illegal activities and trade. It is also
not advisable to earn revenue and income by cheating the customers; as such practice is
highly unethical and can compromise the overall image of the company. Besides that, we
need to serve our potential customers with excellent service and the provision of highquality products. This can further strengthen the faith of customers in our company.

11. Do not procrastinate

Procrastination is the thief of time and success. Procrastination, or delaying work, often
to the last minute, can prove to be extremely detrimental to the company as work will be
done inefficiently and without pride of work. We must always place our priorities first,
and we must ensure all the important tasks are taken care of before embarking on less
urgent obligations.
12. Advertise our products through social networking

Customers are now more likely to venture into online shopping since it is easier, faster
and reliable. Thus, by creating a business in the cyber world, this can further enable the
company to grow and prosper.

8.0 Conclusion
During this activity with Tru-ONE Konsep Sdn. Bhd., we, Group 5 have learned lots
of valuable knowledge on being great entrepreneurs and how to run a company. As we know, it is
never easy to start up a huge company, but entrepreneurs like Mr. Chew Chung Wen and his team
can handle all odds and they are one of the top dogs of the industry they are dealing with. As
medical equipment suppliers, this company has attained the highest standard and quality in many
aspects, bringing both convenience and efficiency to clients. This enables them to make more
new clients at the same time maintaining the usual clients.
On the other hand, Mr. Chew has told us to be honest with clients because clients would
have more confidence in the company when buying their products. As the saying goes, "Honesty
is the best policy". Besides, Mr. Chew has also taught us how to conduct a good marketing plan,
how to provide good products and services to customers, how to lead a management team, how
to ensure the well working of sales department etc.
All forms of business management involve risks that have to be continuously
evaluated over time, and the reason for this being done is to dispose or reduce avoidable losses
made by the company. We have carried out the entrepreneur practicum and achieved almost all
the planned objectives successfully during this stupendous APK activity. Besides that, we learned
about the stress involved in managing a company and we gained extra knowledge related to
entrepreneurship. During this activity, we had actually encountered many problems, but we still
managed to settle them with tolerance and patience. We believe cooperation is the key to success
because without the amazing help and collaboration from group mates, it would have been
practically impossible for us to bring this project to completion.

We would like to say thank you to Prof. Dr. Zahirul Hoque, our supervisor, who
enthusiastically helped us and gave us valuable input related to APK. Also, huge appreciation
goes to our entrepreneurship lecturer, Prof Adeline, who guided us in completing the proposal
and report of this activity. The dedication shown by Associate Professor Dr. Tan Tek Song, our
coordinator for this course is also very much appreciated by all of us. Lastly, we would like to
thank Group 6 for associating with us during the visits to Tru-ONE Konsep Sendirian Berhad.
In a nutshell, we honestly feel that this entrepreneurship program has really brought
us a lot of wonderful experiences and ample exposure to the entrepreneurship world. This was
indeed a golden chance for medical students like us, to know more about a different business
aura, which successfully exposed us to greater heights of expertise and skills which bring us even
closer to achieving all-roundedness as individuals. Thank you once again.
