Grarado Green Energy, the company.

Grarado is a public company with shares hold for 60% by the community members .
Grarado is a shareholder company which entitles shareholders in sharing of the
profit. Farmer shareholder can pay for their share in kind, as is the most current
practice. Farmers do receive a price for the complete delivered product and
shareholders have the advantage of guaranteed off-take of their products. Any
improvements made to installation resulting in a higher profit of the firm will be
automatically reflected in a higher profit over the shares. To protect investors in
equipment there are preference shares who also give control over the assets of the
company. By binding the suppliers of the biomass to the factory with favorable
conditions price speculation with feed stocks will not have any effect for the
shareholders: Offering feed stocks below cost price will move up the profit of the
company, offering feed stocks well above market price is not taken as the connected
farmers are capable delivering enough biomass to maintain a basic service.
No different from any other country there are legal matters withholding
implementation of RNE companies like GRARADO. Careful preparation of the legal
structure and the technical structure makes GRARADO able to operate now within
the legal framework applicable in the Philippines. Positive changes to the laws will
enhance the ability for GRARADO to establish power plants producing more than 1
MW for each installation. This will create an incentive to apply modern techniques
with higher efficiency automatically generating more than 1 MW, up to 3 MW in
already existing plants.

Grarado Green Energy, the people.

People make the company. Not one but all shareholders are part of the company:
farmer co-operative for supplying feed stocks, the customers buying power, suppliers
for equipment and a seasoned number of shareholders compromising more than 50+
years of experience in power generating applications. From site survey up to
installing electrical wires.
Grarado Green Energy, the technique.

Producers of equipment will come and go. Grarado not only supplies the techniques,
it also supplies the knowledge. Grarado business is producing power, producing
fertilizers, producing cold, producing process heat. From local feed stocks. The
power is produced locally, installation must be maintained locally. Power producing
is commitment for decades, not a time bound project.
Grarado implements a full working plant based with the capability to support one
separate economical unit (industrial estate, integrated factory) with at least a twofold overcapacity in electrical power need. Excess power is available for the grid and
a minimum of 100 kW excess power is planned. Equipment used has a track record of
at least 20 years by now, some parts have been researched and improved during
1960, and 1970 up to the 1980. Technology of interest for the Philippines does exist
since the 1930 and was already applicable and appropriated. It is equipment tried
and tested during WWII which showed that correct and fast employment was very
easy to achieve: in 3 years time a complete industry was erected. Inferior equipment
does not exist, dis-functional equipment does.
Grarado integrates with intermittent power source like seasonal hydro by
complementing its biomass driven power plant by any available other source.

Availability of a single plant will be 99.7%, well above the required level.
In essence Grarado power plants are already hybrid through the use of gasification
equipment feeding Diesel-engine driven gensets. Multiple types of gasifiers are used
to allow for almost any kind of biomass. Power gensets used are of maximum
capacity of 250 kW, 300 KVA, mostly skid mounted. These types are well available ,
reasonable efficient and simple to maintain.
Gasifiers had proven itself already on European markets and in other countries. As
always most important is a good understanding of the technology before applying it.
Through the integrated approach of Grarado, there is security that the technique will
be work as intended.
Grarado strives to deliver more than sub-critical power to the community. Small pilot
projects are for testing a certain device, not for testing the system of distributed
power delivery. Therefore Grarados minimum set will be at least 100 kWe.
Grarado Green Energy, the earnings.

Grarado operates a minimum sized power plant from 100kWe. Using this minimum
size guarantees industrial quality hardware of proven reliability. For constant power
supply the initial cost are higher but will be totally irrelevant after only one year of
operation at a cost half of the current electricity costs in remote rural areas.
Furthermore will the connected factory greatly enhance the efficiency of the plant
allowing for a very fast ROI on the utilities. The earnings are payed as dividend on
the shares.

Energy is not created. It is transformed from one type to another type. Where there
is a source of hydro-carbons, Grarado can operate. Is there enough of that source?
The likely upper limit is probably higher as estimated: now not included materials
like clearings, weeds and other maintenance feed stocks can also serve as a feed for
the systems. Grarado buys the biomass locally left as waste. Also Grarado sets-up
new plantations for providing more biomass to use in the power plant AND creating a
new export product.
Grarado can provide backup power for water purification plants, health services and
telecommunication through its distributed setup of power plants. As distributed
power generation requires a network control mechanism, safe and secure Internet
connections are used. The distributed generation plants serve as Internet
connections and backup data centers.

Especially in remote rural areas and areas where there is a stream of hydrocarbon
waste. Those are the areas Grarado will be active. Using the bio-residues is an
acceptable solution AND does deliver a chain of new products like fertilizers back to
those same areas.
However Grarado does not limit itself to rural area. An often overseen source of
power- is the waste produced by urban cities. That waste, proper segregated can
function as input for the same process in providing power.
