DROPS BABY 2008/09, PATTERNS ON THE INTERNET!

Finally the new patterns for DROPS Baby are being uploaded! We'll daily upload the patterns as they are being proof read
and translated. The patterns are chosen based mainly on the voting results and all your comments. You will see that our
new baby-collection is big on numbers and features a great variety of designs. You'll find the cutest babies in everything
from basic garments like trousers and jackets to ponchos and dresses. There are also a lot of accessories such as blankets,
hats, socks, mittens and comforters. The colors range from white and light pastels to strong, vibrant colors, the latter
represented mainly by Fabel.

Gauge: 10 sts x 12 rows in stockinette st = 10 x 10 cm.
Rib: * K 2, P 1 *, repeat from * - *.
Top: Loosely cast on 62-68-74-74-80 sts with 1 strand Vienna + 2 strands Glitter. P 1 row (wrong side) and then 2 rows rib
keeping 1 edge st at each side in garter st. Then knit stockinette st.
When the piece measures 21-23-25-26-27 cm knit 2 rows rib keeping 1 edge st at each side in garter st in garter st. Bind
off in rib.
Assembly: Sew edges together at center back using edge sts as seam allowance.
I-Cord Strap: Cast on 4 sts with 1 strand Vienna + 2 strands Glitter use circular or double-pointed needles. K 1 row, *
push sts to right side of needle, do not turn work, pull yarn tight on back side and K 1 row from same side as previous row
*, repeat * - *.
Bind off when strap measures approx. 28-30-32-34-36 cm (or length needed measure your child). Knit a second I-cord
the same way and sew one end of each to the back inside the rib with approx. 15-15-16-17-17 cm between them. Sew
other ends to the front inside the rib.
Crocheted blossom: Ch 4 with Safran and join into a ring with 1 sl st.
1st row: 6 sc in ring, finish with 1 sl st in 1st sc.
2nd row: 1 sc in first sc, * ch 3, 1 sc in the next sc *, repeat * - * a total of 5 times and finish with ch 3 and 1 sl st in first
sc at start of row = 6 ch-loops. Ch 1, turn piece and crochet from back side.
3rd row: Crochet as follows in each ch-loop: 1 sc, ch 1, 3 dc, ch 1, 1 sc, finish with 1 sl st in 1st sc at start of row.
4th row: * 1 sc in sc from 2nd row (crochet on back side of petal around sts from previous row, pull yarn tight), ch 4 *,
repeat * - * a total of 6 times and finish with 1 sl st in 1st sc at start of row.
5th row: Ch 1, crochet as follows in each ch-loop:
1 sc, ch 1, 5 dc, ch 1, 1 sc, finish with 1 sl st in 1st sc at start of row.
6th row: * 1 sc in sc from 4th row (crochet on back side of the 2 petals around sts from previous row, pull yarn tight), ch 5
*, repeat * - * a total of 6 times and finish with 1 sl st in 1st sc at start of row.
7th row: Ch 1, crochet as follows in each ch-loop:
1 sc, ch 1, 1 dc, 5 tc, 1 dc, ch 1, 1 sc, finish with 1 sl st in 1st sc at start of row.
Cut yarn and fasten sew a spangle on the center of blossom and sew to right strap.
