HOLIDAY HOMEWORK

Its Summer time,
School Vacation have
begun, Time for children to
play, And have fun in the
sun.
Now the children
Are out of school,

There are trees to climb,


And swimming in the pool.

Dear children,
We are sure that all of you must be enjoying your
holiday. You must have started making plans to
visit your grandparents, relative and friends, watch
television during the day, taking a dip in the
swimming pool and joining some activity classes
with your friends.
We wish you to enjoy every minute of this long
break with your family and friends. Read as many
story books as you can ,help your parents and
grandparents, go for morning walk and play in the
park in the evening during your long summer
break.
Please dont watch T.V. for long hours. Eat and eat
plenty of fruits, healthy breakfast and three meals
a day.
We are giving you a variety of fun filled activities
and worksheets which you can do during
dur
the
noon time. Do them neatly and submit the
worksheets to your teachers by 3rd July14.

HUNDREDS CHART PUZZLE

Write 1 to 100 on a chart. To make a jigsaw puzzle, cut your


pieces only on the lines. You will make an easy puzzle if you
only cut three pieces and a more difficult one if you cut ten
pieces. Oddly shaped pieces are also harder to replace. Have a
few turns at making it back into one piece. Bring your pieces
to school in an envelope.

Graphic presentation
Collect 20 items from your bedroom that can be
sorted into about 4 groups. You might take some
soft toys, socks, toy cars, and pencils.
Tick as you complete
1) Look at the collection.
2) Make a graph using a symbol to show each
item.
3) Name your graph.
4) Make a tally to show how many of each.
5) Write an explanation of your graph

Flip Book

Make a flip book for blend words along with picture and words
using an old spiral desk calendar.
1 Take an old rectangular spiral desk calendar and paste
coloured paper on the pages.
2 Take one plain paper and draw the blend sound letters in a
stencil formation and colour the same. Glue this on the first page.
3 Now find three words for each of the blend allotted to you.
4 Draw or trace the pictures related to the blend words that you
have found and colour.
5 Allow your child to relate the picture to the letter and help
him/her to paste them.

Pets

Collect a photo of one of your pet. Look at the


picture you have chosen while you write a
description of your pet. Here are some tips of what
to put in a description. It needs to be written in
sentences.

What is the pets name and how was it chosen?


Does it do anything funny?
How do you look after it?
Does it make any noises?
Where did you get it?
How much does it sleep?

The student will be asked to narrate any one of the stories read by them in
class after holidays.
