PC 5979 Samuels states: At approximately 18.45 hours on Monday 18 th February

2011 I was on mobile patrol in the company of PC 3962 Haskins. As the result of
information received I was caused to attend a premises at 15 Bliss Close, Worley,
Westshire. On arrival I was met outside by a person whom I now believe to be Mr
Andrew Dayton Morris date of Birth 12, 06, 1972. Mr Morris had a blooded nose and
had reddening to his face and around his left eye. Mr Morris informed me that he was
the householder of the address and that there had been a break in, he had disturbed the
intruder who punched and kicked Morris to the floor in order to escape. However Mr
Morris stated that he heard movement coming from an upstairs room and so believed
the intruder was still in the house. PC Haskins went to the rear of the House and I
entered the house from the front door. I conducted a search of the premises both
upstairs and down stairs. On searching the first floor front bedroom I could hear a
faint noise similar to breathing coming from under the double divan bed. I knelt down
and shone my torch under the bed and I saw an IC A (Fe)male under the bed lying
prostrate on their stomach. I told the person to come out and they complied. I can
describe this person as, (Fe)male as IC A approximately X feet tall with Short long
dark/ light hair, wearing (Whatever your suspect is wearing) with distinguishing
features (to fit that of the suspect). The following conversation took place.
5979 Your under arrest for Burglary, caution
Suspect Fuck off, I didnt do nothing.
5979 Ok Im not going to talk to you about this until we put this on tape in interview,
do you understand the Caution?
The suspect made no more comment.
At this time I was confident there was no other intruder in the house so I radioed for
PC Haskins to join me. On arrival PC Haskins and I conducted a search of the person.

On searching the front left hand pocket of the suspects jacket I found a small amount
of coinage consisting of three two pound coins, five one pound coins a fifty pence
piece, four twenty pence pieces and six one penny coins and two, two penny coins, a
total of 12.40. I noted that I had found these and replaced them in the suspects
pocket.
I placed the (Fe)male in handcuffs using a Home Office approved technique and we
all walked back to the patrol vehicle. I now believe this person to be (What ever your
suspects name and details are)
The suspect was conveyed to the Police station where normal custody procedures
were followed and the suspects detention was authorised, the afore mentioned
coinage was booked into the suspects detained property in accordance with custody
procedure. I returned to the address to obtain a statement of evidence from Mr Morris.
At this point I was informed that an amount of loose change estimated at around 10
to 12 Stirling, had been taken from a dish in the kitchen at the rear of the house. Due
to my opinion of his injuries I strongly advised Mr Morris to attend the hospital. I
completed the statement and gave Mr Morris a lift to the accident and emergency
department at St Mauds hospital before I returned to the station to complete my
pocket note book entry. I had no further dealings with this matter. RBSamuels
