I am delighted to offer you admission on the MSc Sustainable Energy Technology programme in
XJTLU, which is an eighteen month full time programme that leads to a University of Liverpool
award. The programme starts in September 2014 and ends in February 2016. There are no conditions
associated with this offer.
To confirm your place in the programme, a deposit of 1,000RMB is required to be paid to the
university bank account within 10 working days of the date of this letter (see details of the account in
the email). Please provide us a receipt of your payment once you have completed. The deposit, nonrefundable except in exceptional circumstances, will be deducted from your tuition fees.
Before the commencement of Masters programme, the XJTLU Pre-sessional English course will be
provided. The course is optional for your consideration. It is designed to develop students English
language and academic study skills necessary to meet the challenges of studying at Masters level.
The XJTLU Pre-sessional English course starts from the 4th August, 2014 and ends on 29th August,

The full tuition fee of MSc Sustainable Energy Technology programme is 90,000RMB which should
be paid in two installments. The first installment of 60,000RMB should be paid at or before the time
of registration and the second installment of 30,000RMB should be paid before the start of your third
semester in September 2015. Payment can be made by a debit card account of Agricultural Bank of
China which will be issued to you in due course. The tuition fee does not cover the costs of certain
one-off activities which may be associated with your programme such as fieldtrips, and transport
costs to site visits. Further pre-arrival advice will be sent to you before you commence your studies.
In addition, you will need around RMB18, 000 per year to cover the costs of living in Suzhou as a
single person. If you are planning to bring family with you then your living costs will increase.
