silentworship.Itwasapicturesqueandcolourfulsceneonethatgripsthememory.

threehundredpairsofeyesseeingnaughtbutAllah.

Nasrudin,istheoriginofseveralmysticphilosophictaleswhichconveyquitesimply
instructionondeepVedantictruths.Inthesecondstoryhesays,"Inevertellthetruth!"

havenotfailedtonotethedifferenceofoutlook,theeasygoingattitudetowardworkand
time,andthoughthisatfirstexcitedmyirritation,itnowreceives,withinduelimits,my
approbation.ForI,too,havefeltthepleasureoftakinglifeeasily,thedelightofceasing
tobepursuedbyoldKronos,thecomfortofnolongerreactingtoclockworkand
mechanicaldiscipline.InEgyptIfoundthisspiritatitsapogee,andnowitsuitsmewell.

thenreproachedhimforsuchinconsiderateconduct."Oh,don'tworry,"hereplied,"for
evenifIdidturnupattenmyclientwouldinvariablyturnupattwo!"However,I
masteredonelessonthroughmysojournunderthepleasantEgyptiansky,alessonwhich
hasbeenwellputbyRabelais,whosaidthatthehoursweremadeforman,andnotman
