CAREER OPPORTUNITIES
Tanzania Petroleum Development Corporation (TPDC) is a National
Oil Company established in 1969 with a mandate to undertake
petroleum development in a selected petroleum potential areas
throughout the country, including the continental shelf of Tanzania.
In line with such mandate TPDC has formed subsidiary companies
namely Gas Supply Company Limited (GASCO) and Commercial
Petroleum (COPEC) to perform various tasks. The main roles of the
established subsidiaries are: GASCO is responsible for the
management of natural gas processing plants, natural gas
transmission pipeline, natural gas distribution networks and gas
aggregation; COPEC is responsible for managing the National
Strategic Petroleum Reserves and downstream operations as
deemed fit for long term benefits of the nation.
To effectively manage the above responsibilities, TPDC is looking for
experienced, dynamic, energetic, visionary and qualified candidates

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Holder of a Master Degree in Procurement and Supplies
Management with Certified Procurement and Supplies
Professional (CPSP) or equivalent qualification from a
recognized institution.

WORKING EXPERIENCE
At least 10 years of working experience, of which 3 must be
at a senior level. Proven high administrative and managerial
ability in the oil and gas industry is essential.

operations of the Company in accordance with the laid down
policies by the Governing Board aimed at achieving the

institution. Specialization in international finance shall be an

MANAGER - PLANNING
1.0 PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF POSITION
The Planning Manager will be responsible for development of
plans of the Corporation and its subsidiaries. He/she shall
prepare, maintain and review short and long term plans in
conformity with corporate objectives.
2.0 PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
2.1 Prepares, maintains and reviews short and long term
plans of the directorate in conformity with corporate
objectives;
2.2 Compiles, maintains and coordinates review of short and
long term plans for Corporation and its subsidiaries in
conformity with corporate objectives;
2.3 Compiles project appraisals and financing plans;
2.4 Ensures the collection and handling of planning data and
statistical indices and other economic indicators
necessary for planning function;

of revenues accruing to the Corporation.
