As the United Nations admits that almost a third of all the proposed Sustainable
Development Goals will be 'difficult' to monitor, it is easy to argue that measuring and
tracking the implementation of 17 goals and 169 targets is an effort in futility. However,
existing regional assessment programs, such as the African Peer Review Mechanism, can
provide an innovative way of measuring these "difficult" goals (Read article)
