The word know means, To understand from experience, as fact or truth, to

apprehend clearly and with certainty; to have something fixed in the mind or
memory. As a knower, I learn a lot of things from my family, friends and teachers.
In education, every student gets to study different subjects. Not only the student
learns a lot of things during classes, but s/he has the opportunity to be in a social
community, where students and teachers share bonds from each other, not just for
interaction, but also to create a strong relationship between them.
From my personal view as a knower, I think I am a math know and a human science
knower. In human science class, such as Business and Management, the things you
learn will be very basic, but there are also terms to learn, and understand. The
teacher will mix the students up into groups to do one and the same case study, so
that when we present, we can compare to see what we missed out. Once we
finished the case study, the teacher mixes them up again for the next case study, to
put us into groups with different people, where you can share different knowledge to
each other when doing work.
In Math, you learn how to calculate and apply it to real life. Some teachers
described it as a language. In one aspect, this is true, but in another aspect, math
is full of numbers, formulas and equations to memorize by heart in Math. From my
point of view, I enjoy solving math problems and comparing my answers with my
friends and classmates.
When I began going to SUIS, most of the classmates I met have very different
backgrounds and personalities. I was very shy that time. I would move away from
them to be alone a few times. But as time passes, I began to hang out with them,
and befriended them. We have shared a lot of experiences together inside the
school most of the time. In class, we get to compare our knowledge, and help each
other in school works, exams, and at times, develop new skills and gain new
knowledge from each other.
As a knower, I see a statement, but I dont know whether it is true. I want to know
the answer, and I want to understand why this is the answer. By getting proof that
represents that the statement is true, I primarily research the internet; and ask my
family, friends, teachers and classmates on their knowledge on it. Due to the fast
development of science and technology, a lot of scientific questions are answered,
but new questions will come into topic, and that people will go through a lot of
obstacles to get the answers.
Right now, I realize that being a knower comes from the environment you are in.
Your surroundings make you who you are; how you learn, understand, and know. I
am still young, and in the future I will experience a lot of new things in a lot of
different environments, make new friends, share new knowledge from each other,
learn and understand more.
