I am the salt of the earth (Matthew 5:13).

I am the light of the world (Matthew 5:14).

o

I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his masters business. Instead, I have called you
friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you.
15

I am chosen by Christ to bear fruit (John 15:16).

You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruitfruit that will
lastand so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you.
16

I am Christs personal witness sent out to tell everybody about Him (Acts 1:8).
But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in
all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.
8

I am a slave of righteousness (Romans 6:18).

18

You have been set free from sin and have become slaves to righteousness

I am a slave to God, making me holy and giving me eternal life (Romans 6:22).
o

I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me
you can do nothing.

I am Christs friend (John 15:15).

Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God

15 I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener.

12

You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden.

I am part of the true vine, and Christs life flows through me (John 15: 1,5).

14

I am a child of God (John 1:12).

o

You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer
good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot.
13

But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves of God, the benefit you reap leads to
holiness, and the result is eternal life.
22

I am a child of God; I can call Him my Father (Romans 8:14-15; Galatians 3:26; 4:6).
o

For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God. 15 The Spirit you received does not make you
slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship. And
by him we cry, Abba, Father.
14

[a]

[b]

26

So in Christ Jesus you are all children of God through faith,

16

19

17

But whoever is united with the Lord is one with him in spirit.

[a]

27

Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it.

I am a new person. My past is forgiven and everything is new (2 Corinthians 5:17).

17

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!
[a]

I am at peace with God, and He has given me the work of helping others find peace with Him (2
Corinthians 5:18-19).
All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation:
God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting peoples sins against them. And he has
committed to us the message of reconciliation.
18

19

that

I am a child of God and one with others in His family (Galatians 3:26-28).
o

Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from
God? You are not your own;

I am part of Christs Body (1 Corinthians 12:27).

Dont you know that you yourselves are Gods temple and that Gods Spirit dwells in your midst?

I am joined forever to the Lord and am one spirit with Him (1 Corinthians 6:17).

Now if we are children, then we are heirsheirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his
sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory.
17

[a]

I am a temple a dwelling place for God. His Spirit and His life live in me (1 Corinthians 3:16;
6:19).

Because you are his sons, God sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, the Spirit who calls out, Abba, Father.

I am a coheir with Christ, inheriting His glory (Romans 8:17).

o

So in Christ Jesus you are all children of God through faith, 27 for all of you who were baptized into Christ have
clothed yourselves with Christ. 28 There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and
female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.
26

I am a child of God and will receive the inheritance He has promised (Galatians 4:6-7).
o

Because you are his sons, God sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, the Spirit who calls out, Abba,
Father. 7 So you are no longer a slave, but Gods child; and since you are his child, God has made you also an
heir.
6

[a]

I am a saint, a holy person (Ephesians 1:1; Philippians 1:1; Colossians 1:2).

o

1 Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God, To Gods holy people in Ephesus,[a] the faithful in Christ
Jesus:

1 Paul and Timothy, servants of Christ Jesus, To all Gods holy people in Christ Jesus at Philippi, together with the
overseers and deacons[a]:

To Gods holy people in Colossae, the faithful brothers and sisters[a] in Christ: Grace and peace to you from God

our Father.[b]

I am a citizen of heaven seated in heaven right now (Ephesians 2:6; Philippians 3:20).
6

20

3 For this reason I, Paul, the prisoner of Christ Jesus for the sake of you Gentiles

4 As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received.

I am righteous and holy (Ephesians 4:24).

For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God.

When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.
[a]

Therefore, as Gods chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness,
humility, gentleness and patience.

12

For we know, brothers and sisters loved by God, that he has chosen you,
[b]

I am a child of light, not of darkness (1 Thessalonians 5:5).

5

You are all children of the light and children of the day. We do not belong to the night or to the darkness.

I am chosen to share in Gods heavenly calling (Hebrews 3:1).

o

I am chosen of God, holy and dearly loved (Colossians 3:12; 1 Thessalonians 1:4).

and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.

I am an expression of the life of Christ because He is my life (Colossians 3:4).

o

24

I am hidden with Christ in God (Colossians 3:3).

o

Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and strangers, but fellow citizens with Gods people and also
members of his household,
19

I am a prisoner of Christ so that I can help others (Ephesians 3:1; 4:1).

For we are Gods handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to
do.
10

I am a citizen of heaven with all of Gods family (Ephesians 2:19).

o

But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ,

I am Gods building project, His handiwork, created in Christ to do His work (Ephesians 2:10).
o

And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus,

3 Therefore, holy brothers and sisters, who share in the heavenly calling, fix your thoughts on Jesus, whom we
acknowledge as our apostle and high priest.

I am part of Christ; I share in His life (Hebrews 3:14).

o

14

We have come to share in Christ, if indeed we hold our original conviction firmly to the very end.

I am one of Gods living stones, being built up in Christ as a spiritual house (1 Peter 2:5).
o

3 See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what
we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him. 2 Dear friends, now we are children of
God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when Christ appears,[a] we shall be
like him, for we shall see him as he is.

I am born again in Christ, and the evil one the devil cannot touch me (1 John 5:18).
o

Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to
devour.
8

I am a child of God, and I will be like Christ when He returns (1 John 3:1-2).
o

Dear friends, I urge you, as foreigners and exiles, to abstain from sinful desires, which wage war against your
soul.
11

I am an enemy of the devil (1 Peter 5:8).

o

But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, Gods special possession, that you may declare
the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. 10 Once you were not a people, but now
you are the people of God; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.
9

I am only a visitor to this world in which I temporarily life (1 Peter 2:11).

o

[a]

I am a member of a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God (1
Peter 2: 9-10).
o

you also, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood, offering spiritual
sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.
5

We know that anyone born of God does not continue to sin; the One who was born of God keeps them safe, and
the evil one cannot harm them.
18

I am not the great I am (Exodus 3:14; John 8:24, 28, 58), but by the grace of God, I am what I
am (1 Corinthians 15:10).
o

But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace to me was not without effect. No, I worked harder than
all of themyet not I, but the grace of God that was with me.
