SKF Polyseal – St. George, Utah 2005—Present
Product Engineer - Global Product Development
Product development within SKF's global Center of Excellence (COE) for hydraulic seals. Responsible for
developing new solutions for the guiding and seal functions within hydraulic actuators and motors,
including improvement and redesign. Manage projects and integrate efforts across multiple diverse teams.
Work with customers and product managers to develop system and component requirements. Coordinate
with regional operating units around the world to ensure streamlining and cost-effective manufacturing.
Utilize market research to anticipate what customers will want or need and to develop new products
proactively. Knowledge of polymer materials, tribology, and hydraulic systems.
Developed hardware and software that integrated information systems with multifunctional
processes and equipment.
Engineered a new work cell with custom equipment and CNC machinery to increase productive
capacity on existing production line. Included creation of specialized tooling and software, and
substantial changes to production floor layout.
Developed non-contact high-precision measurement system for use in production.
Re-engineered processes to increase throughput and decrease scrap.
Added automation to product printing system to eliminate errors and integrate the process with the
work cell and supporting databases.
