The car park project will take approximately 8 weeks until completion. Thank you to everyone for your patience. The

child/children. Please do not leave your car as this is meant to be a quick drop off spot.
The staff car park is also available for parent use. Please park in a designated car parks. For safety reasons, please do not

Student Reports

23rd
Parent/Teacher Interviews

Currently our staff are working on students reports. We utilise a range of information and data to make decisions on
these reports, including the portfolio tasks students have been completing. A great deal of time and effort goes into
putting these documents together to inform parents of the great acheivements of our students, as well as future
learning. Reports will be going home on Friday 19th June with Parent Teacher Interviews held on Tuesday 23rd June. (A
separate notice about this will be distributed in the coming weeks). Typically each student will bring home a copy of
their report on the 19th, together with their portfolio. If there are any families who would like an additional copy of the
report to be distributed to either parent, please inform the office so that arrangements can be made. In these circumstances, we send
home one copy with the student, and another would be either sent in the mail or picked up from the office by parents.

Nationally Consistent Collection of Data on School Students with Disability

Collection Notice
This year, all schools in Australia, including Independent and Catholic schools, will participate in the Nationally Consistent Collection of Data on School Students
with Disability.
The Data Collection is an annual count of the number of students with disability receiving educational adjustments to support their participation in education on
the same basis as students without disability.
All education agencies are now required under the Australian Education Regulation 2013 to provide information on a students level of education, disability and level of
adjustment to the Australian Government Department of Education and Training. Data will continue to be de-identified prior to its transfer to the Australian Government
Department of Education and Training. The collection of this information from states and territories will inform future policy and program planning in relation to students with
disability.
The Data Collection will take place during Terms 2 and 3. Please be assured that no personal or identifying information about any student will be included; this is statistical
information only. For more information, please visit the DET website at: http://www.education.vic.gov.au/school/parents/needs/Pages/nccd.aspx

Aerobics
We would like to wish all of our aerobics teams GOOD LUCK as they head off to Geelong for the Aerobics State Championships. The teams have all
trained exceptionally hard under the watchful eye of Miss Nyman, Mrs Kemp and Miss Mackie.

Captains Report
Grade Prep: Wow! We have had a busy week in the prep area. We enjoyed going on our first excursion to Maroondah Dam. We loved exploring and talking about things in the
environment. In Integrated Studies we have continued to explore movement and created our own finger puppets.
Grade 1/2: What a busy week we had! We had a great day navigating our way around Maroondah Dam on Tuesday. Our visit to Chesterfield farm on Friday was fantastic. We
got to feed all the animals and go on a tractor ride. This week we are looking forward to making yummy vegetable soup. In Maths we will be focusing on weight and
subtraction.
Grade 3/4: In CAF we learnt about voracious reading. In writing we continued to follow the writing process and we wrote some jokes and limericks. In Maths we finished
looking at division and looked at volume, capacity, mass and weight.
Grade 5/6: We enjoyed our week learning about word choice and the 6 traits of writing. We investigated a crime scene in our grade and developed a writing piece to explain
our theories. We finished our time Maths groups and were able to show our awesome Maths skills by completing our semester Maths review.
Principal: It was definitely an excursion week last week Prep-2 Photo Trail, Yr 5/6 Aussie Sports, Yr 1/2 Chesterfield Farm as well as Bens Shed. Launching Place Primary students
experience a broad range of educational opportunities which help develop them in total. A big thanks to our amazing parent helpers that support these events.

paying for.
Missing
A black case containing 15 games for a DS;
please return to school office.
Missing Toy
A student in grade 3/4M
had on display some special things from home for his
VIP week. One of these was a special toy called Bop.
Please see picture. Last week was a busy week in the
classrooms with Grandparents and Special Friends
Day and also Open Night. There were a lot of people
that came through our classroom. If you have seen
this toy (or mistaken it for your own toy), please bring
Bop back to school. I know this student will greatly
appreciate it!
Clothing
With the weather starting to cool down, we are needing to keep warm. If
your child/ren are wearing jumpers or jackets please put their name visible
on the inside. If they get lost they can be returned. Please check your
child/rens jumpers, etc, just in case they may have picked someone elses
up by mistake. If that has happened could you please return them to the
school office so they can find their way back to the rightful owner.
Thank You for your co operation .

Grade 1/2 Chesterfield Farm Excursion

Wow, what a fantastic day the 1/2 students had on Friday 29th May. We made our way to Chesterfield farm and had the best day ever! We got to milk a
cow, feed camels, goats and all sorts of farm animals. We played with the baby farm animals and even got nibbled on by the cheeky little goats. We had
an awesome tractor ride around the whole farm. Check out our fun photos
