Summarization of Romeo and Juliet

Act 1 Romeo meets Juliet at party

Scene 1 Sampson + Gregory provoke the Montagues,
Benvolio tries to make peace but Tybalt continues the fight.
Prince comes
down stop the fight. Benvolio goes to find Romeo, talks with him
about Rosaline, (romeo is lovesick)
Scene 2 Paris asks Capulet for consent to marry, Capulets like
oh hell no
Romeo goes to Capulet party cuz Rosaline is going, says that
none are more beautiful than Rosaline
Scene 3 Juliet talks w/ Lady Capulet and Nurse about marriage.
Lady wants Juliet to marry Paris. Nope.
Scene 4 Romeo and friends are going to party, Mercutio talks
about fairies
Scene 5 Tybalt gets mad at Romeo at party, Romeo meets Juliet
and flirts with her about pilgrims
Act 2 R+ J balcony scene, get married at end, all that jazz
Scene 1 Ben + Mer making sexual jokes
Scene 2 Romeo walks in on Juliet talking to herself about him,
basically balcony scene
Scene 3 Friar is talking to himself, gathering herbs (good/evil

finds out when it is from Nurse (marriage)

Friars advises moderation in love, too passionate, they speak of
love and get

Act 3 Tybalt fights with Romeo, results in banishment

Scene 1 - Mercutio taunts Tybalt into a fight, romeo tries to
placate Tybalt, mercutio fights tybalt, mercutio dies cursing
montague/capulet. Romeo kills Tybalt, sentenced to banishment
Scene 2 JULIET FINDS out about Romeo, at first mad by
deceitful
appearances but then protects him as husband
Scene 3 Romeo is distraught over banishment, Friar gets mad
Romeo attempts suicide after Nurse comes, firiar gets mad/
rebukes tells of hope and plan
Scene 4 Capulet talks with Paris, decides when to marry her off
Scene 5 They consummated their marriage
Act 4 Juliet takes poison, sh*t goes down
Scene 1 - Paris brushes past Juliet after talking with Friar, Juliet
asks for Friars help and explains desperation -> gets poison and
plan
Scene 2 Juliet asks for forgiveness from Capulet, wedding to be
next day
Scene 3 Juliet takes the poison after shooing away Mother +
Nurse, doubts first
Scene 4 Wedding arrangements underway, tells Nurse to go
wake Juliet
Scene 5 Discovers death of Juliet, Capulets lament for her, friar
tries to comfort them
Act 5
Scene 1 Romeo discovers of Juliets death from Balthasar,
plans to kill himself with apothecary poison, buys poison from
apothecary

Scene 2 Friar finds out Friar John was unable to deliver letter, is
scared
Scene 3 Paris at Juliets tomb, Romeo dismisses Balthasar, kills
Paris since Paris prevents Romeos entrance, Romeo kills himself
after lamenting on Juliet and her beauty. Friar discovers that
Romeo is dead, Juliet awakes, friar escapes for fear of discovery
and Juliet commits suicide. Friar explains at Princes request,
Capulet/Montague come to view dead children.
Capulet/Montague reconciliate over dead children, Prince
laments death.
