Learn the ancient yogic method of healing with prana. Prana vidya is the complet
e science of awakening and controlling the subtle life-force energy of prana. In
this video you will learn the ancient systematic method for healing with prana
by touch.
Stage 1. Preparation. Begin by asking the one you are healing to lie down on the
ir back in shavasana, corpse pose. Sit down at their head, and take a moment to
find your center, become focused and relaxed. Prepare the person by guiding them
through the preliminary stages of yoga nidra.
Stage 2. Awakening your Prana.
A. Begin by perceiving the inner space of your body.
B. Awareness of pingala nadi.
C. Awareness of the ida-pingala circuit.
D. Awakening prana in sushumna nadi.
E. Experiencing the prana which has been accumulated at ajna.
Stage 3. Clearing the pranic body. Now that your prana has been awakened, and yo
u can feel a vivid sensation of prana at the brow center, move down beside the c
enter of the torso next to the person you are healing. Begin making long sweepin
g movements with the palms from the top of the head, to the tips of their toes.
Have the awareness that you are energetically clearing their subtle body. Perfor
m a total of 11 passes.
Stage 4a: Healing a single body part. Perform ujjayi pranayama and khechari mudr
a while visualizing a a stream of white light flowing from the brow-center chakr
a, ajna, through the hands and into the body part to be healed. Perform a total
of 49 breaths.
Stage 4b: Healing generalized disorders. Place your right hand above their navel
at manipura chakra, and your left hand above their forehead at ajna chakra. Wit
h ujjayi pranayama and khechari mudra, inhale while visualizing the prana gather
ing beneath your left hand, at their brow-center, ajna. Then exhale while visual
izing the prana gathering beneath your right hand, at their solar plexus chakra,
manipura. Perform a total of 49 breaths.
Stage 5: Slef-purification. Become aware of the etheric space which pervades you
r body. With khechari mudra and ujjayi pranayama, raise the prana up pingala nad
i, condensing it at ajna while mentally repeating "ajna" five times, then descen
d only the breath awareness down the spinal passage of sushumna. Continue until
the prana is concentrated at ajna. Inhale with ujjayi and see the prana explodin
g from the brow-center chakra, ajna, and filling each and every cell of your bod
y with prana; purifying and cleansing your entire subtle body. Withdraw the pran
a back to ajna with each exhalation.
Stage 6: Returning the prana. Inhale deep with ujjayi, concentrating all the pra
na to the brow center, and exhale down sushumna nadi returning all the prana bac
k to it's source at muladhara. Inhale only the breath awareness up the spinal pa
ssage back to ajna, hold the breath in condensing the prana at ajna, and again r
eturn all the prana down sushumna to muladhara with the exhalation. Continue unt
il you are sure that all the prana has been returned to the root chakra. Your bo
dy should feel light, and your mind should feel focused and concentrated.
Stage 7: Yoga nidra
Now that you have returned to normal consciousness, give the person a short twen
ty minute yoga nidra session guiding them to visualize each cell of their entire
body glowing with rejuvenating white light.

in the section "Awareness of the ida-pingala circuit" why only go up pigala and
down ida? (i am asking coz im confused. in Kriya Yoga we were taught the exact p
posite!). Please help...?
Thank you for your question, which is a good one and can help you to understand
exactly what is happening at this stage of the practice. The answer is actually
very scientific. At this stage we are seeking to raise the prana from muladhara
to ajna via pingala, as well as to complete the 'circuit' of Shakti by descendin
g back down the lunar pathway of ida. We go up pingala with the inhalation becau
se we are raising the prana from muladhara to ajna with the incoming breath. Bec
ause pingala is the channel which prana travels through we want to ascend up pin
gala with the inhalation; we then descend through ida in order to complete the b
io-electrical current. i hope this makes sense.?

Thank you for your answer. However can you please clarify the below queries ples
e?
1. what will happen if i inhale up ida and exhale down pingala?
2. in your web course do you have more info about this?
3. i have inquired about you through your website contact page, but i did not ge
t a reply . i hope the contact page is working ok??
Thank you for reaching out and trying to contact us. The site is still under con
struction and we are currently upgrading the members areas. To answer your quest
ions:
1) In order to understand this question about inhaling up ida we first need to t
ake a deeper look at bioenergetics. There are two major forces, or shaktis, flow
ing through the body; prana shakti and chitta shakti. Prana shakti, not to be co
nfused with Kundalini Shakti which flows through the spinal passage of sushumna,
is the vital life force flowing through pingala. Flowing through ida is the men
tal energy of chitta shakti.?
As the vitality is awakewned, the awareness will naturally increase as well. How
ever, there have been many warnings by the tantric masters not to try and direct
ly increase chitta shakti within ida itself. There are many meditations that gui
de you follow your awareness, and the breath, through these passages. But not wi
th the intent to raise or channel chitta shakti. When we are doing Prana Nidra,
there is a great amount of shakti being generated, so there is the possible dang
er of over activating chitta. The increase in mind-power/ mental force/ chitta s
hakti can be too much intensity in an already extremely powerful process.?
