GENERAL OBJECTIVES OF THE PROGRAM


The Teachers Education Program of the College of
Teacher Education aims to:
1. Support the institution in the fulfillment of its vision,
mission and goals.

and professional competencies appropriate for
responsive and effective teacher educational program.

SYLLABUS
MAJOR 1 Basic Drafting
A. Course Code: Major 1
B. Descriptive Title: Basic Drafting
C. Course Description: This course provides each student with basic ideas and concepts of drafting as part of Technology and Livelihood Education. Basic
Drafting will cover lettering, sketching, single views, multi-view projection, geometric drafting, dimensioning, sectional views, auxiliary views, and introduce the
student to architecture through the design of a small house.
D. Course General Objectives:
1. Define and use the language of industry.
2. Develop and interpret drawings as a means of visual communication.
3. Develop sketching skills.
4. Neatly apply professional looking lettering to all projects.
5. Use various drafting equipment to complete drawings.
6. Measure and layout drawings using different scales.
7. Learn and use proper drafting techniques to produce technical drawings.
