WORK EXPERIENCE(August2011-till date)
(i) Currently I am working in M/s THE INDIA THERMIT CORPORATION LIMITED Kanpur as a
quality control engineer for a metallographic lab. During this period I have gained experience in using
examine the microstructure of Alumino Thermic weld and I have achieved experience in using modern
techniques ( Indian Specifications) for increasing the Quality.
(ii) and besides I have command in Hardness( Brinell ,Core hardness Tester as well as Vickers)
,Transverse bend test machine, specially Spectrometer, sieving analysis, casting.
(iii) Testing of molding sand via. Clay washer, Ramming, Permeability and tensile strength & NDT
testings (Ultrasonic, dye penetrate, magnetic particle inspection etc.)
(iv) Record maintains as per ISO requirements and RDSO Inspection works.

JOB RESPONSIBILITY (ROLE- METALLURGIST)

I am responsible for metallurgical investigation and testing etc., in laboratory and any related activities as assigned by
departmental head.
Completely lab works according to RDSO such as rail welding, hardness testing, ultrasonic testing, and Transverse
bend testing and chemical testing (by spectrometer).
I have done Research & Development work such as improve hardness in rail welding, machining & Fusion zone,
observe the microstructure of weld metal and heat affected zone.
Improving mould quality such as sound testing, core harness testing, universal testing (compress & tensile testing),
dimensional testing according to pattern & drawing.
Sand testing (permeability, compressive strengths).
