1. INTRODUCTION:
Being a project manager, I was given a task to work
on the construction of hospital which is situated in
MUZAFFARABAD (AJK).The name of the hospital is AL-
SHAIFA TRUST EYE Hospital which is a charitable hospital. In
order to built the hospital and meet my goal I have to work on
different strategic of management like MANAGING
RESOURCES, STRATERGY FORMULATION like planning,
organizing, leading and controlling. I have to assure the best use of
resources which is being availed to me.

2. SCOPE:
The scope of AL-SHAIFA TRUST EYE hospital in
MUZAFFARABAD is that people belongings from different parts
of Kashmir would get facility of treatment of their eyes nearby
their place. Else they have to go to Rawalpindi in order to get
treatment. The poor people was not be able to go their. So
construction of hospital will provide them ease at their door step.

3. OBJECTIVE:
Its main objective is to help the disease the patient’s
undergo corrective eye surgery using the latest surgical technology
there. The second most objective is that to help and to treat the
poor people who are not able to pay fee for the eye treatment or
surgery of there eyes.

4. STAFF:
 Project Director:
The head of the project is the project director
which is responsible for all organizational goals.

 Project Manager:
The project manager is one who manages the
project. Being a project manager it is my responsibility to manage
my project and make use of best resources. As a project manager I
have my own staff which includes the followings
1. Deputy Manager
2. Account Officer
3. Contractor
4. Supplier
5. Engineer
The following techniques are used in project management which is
described below

5. FUNCTIONS OF MANAGEMENT:

5.1 PLANNING:
Planning is a systematic process of making
decisions, about goals, and activities that an individual or
organization will purse in the future. In order to construct the
hospital, I met with the consultant of Engineering council and
the project Director to form a plan how to construct the
hospital? What are the requirements we need? At what cost it
will be completed? What are the basic hurdles takes place
during the construction of the hospital? In planning we have
also discussed about the alternatives of our goal and plan. In
planning the scope and objective of the hospital is also
discussed.

5.2 ORGANIZING:
Being a project manager I have assigned different
task to different peoples in order to meet the organizational goal.

A. DEPUTY MANAGER:
Deputy Manager is the second most responsible
person in an organization after the project manager. I have assigned
him to read the entire building structure/road map in order to get
work from other sub ordinates.

B. ACCOUNT OFFICER:
I have assigned a person that deals with the
accounts and make records of all financial transactions. Account
officer deals with the financial resources of the organization and a
made a check on every financial transaction. Its duty is to how
much the organization spends on the project? How much left? How
much an organization received amount from the trusty of the AL-
SHIFA?

C. CONTRACTOR:
I have also assigned a person whose profession is to
construct the buildings. Contractor uses his resources like labor,
capital (machines), raw materials to construct the building.

D. SUPPLIER:
I have assigned the supplier to supply the raw materials
which is used in construction of Hospitals like cement, bricks,
steals, sand, machines which is being used to concrete. As a project
manager I make sure that the supplier is doing his work properly
by using less span of time and use less financial resources in order
to competes the organizational goal and excellence.

E. ENGINEER:
I have assigned an associate engineer who is
responsible to make sure that work is in progress and meet the
excellence. The Engineer is directed t report me about the working
progress and speed. He may also tell me weather the contractor is
doing his work properly and make sure the work is working in the
positive direction by spending less time and must be in budget
constraints.

5.3 LEADING:
Leading means directing, inspiring and motivating the
workers. This is a key factor and orders to reach your goal. Being a
project manager it’s my duty to lead in such a way that my
followers inspired from me and wants to work hard. Being a
project manager leading is very important for me because I kept
my people or workers focused on moving the organization towards
its ideal future and motivating them to over come what eve
obstacles lie in the way. My project succeeds or fails not only
because of how well I lead it but because of how well followers
follow me. Due to my leading qualities my followers know tier
contributions to the organization that is valuable. I will not only
leading my followers but I will motivate them also because
motivation gives them energize, direct and sustains a person’s
efforts and a highly motivated person will work hard to achieve the
organizational goal and such person will be highly productive.
Being a project manager I motivate people to

1. Join the organization.


2. Remain in the organization.
3. Come to work properly.
4. Perform their work.
5. Exhibit good citizenship.

5.4 CONTROLLING:
Controlling is an important management factor
because it can make things happen. Due to “controlling”
organization meets its competition. As a project manager It’s my
responsibility to make sure that things are going as planned.
Control is one of the assets of management. According to me, I
have to control because I made plans and strategies in order to
construct the hospital and I must ensure that plans and strategies
are carried out properly. This means I make sure that the people are
the workers are doing what I need to be done and not doing
inappropriate things. If my plan is not carried out properly, so I
must take some steps to ensure the problem fixation. This is the
basic function of controlling. If I implement my controlling
techniques this means that I regulate the allocation and utilization
of resources so efficiently.

5.5 ASSURANCE:
Assurance means to make sure that all of the work
is going well. As a project manager, I assured the work each and
every level that it is going in the positive direction and the project
is making progress by leaps and bound. If I am a good planner and
controller but organize people improperly then I will not be a
potential manger and I will not reach my goal, destination or
organizational goal
