GENDER INEQUALITY
GENDER INEQUALITY this refers to unequal treatment or perceptions of individuals
between men and women.

FOUR THEMES CHARACTERIZE FEMINIST THEORIZING GENDER INEQUALITY

FIRST - Men and women are situated in society not only differently but also unequally.
Specially, women get less of material resources, social status, power, and opportunities for selfactualization than do men who share their social location be it a location based on class, race,
occupation, ethnicity, religion, education, nationality, or any other socially significant factor.
-men and women are in the same society but not treat as equal. Specially, women get less of
material resources, social status, power, and opportunities of self-actualization. For example in
social status, men have more opportunity to get a position or rank within the society. They can
share other or any significant factor than do women dont and have less opportunity for selfactualization.
Second - This inequality results from the organization of society, not from any significant
biological or personality differences between men and women.
-This results from the organization of society not from biologically which specially as parents
and children, and/or each personality that is the set of qualities that they have but the
organization in our society that sees a man that man has more power to rule the society.
Third - Although individual human beings may vary somewhat from each other in their profile
of potentials and traits, no significant pattern of national variation distinguishes the sexes.
Instead, all human beings are characterized by a deep need for freedom to seek self-actualization
and by a fundamental malleability that leads them to adapt the constraints or opportunities of the
situations in which they find themselves
-

We have our freedom for self-actualization and by a flexible one to adapt constraints or
opportunities to of the situations to find themselves. For example, once youre flexible
you know or you can adjust or adapt situations. Like here when women were flexible
one, they can or we can adapt or get opportunities. .

To say that there is gender inequality, then, is to claim that women are situationally less
empowered that man to realize they need they share with men for self-actualization.

-I see that it has purpose for women being less empowered, because for women to share
with men for self-actualization.
Fourth - All inequality theories assume that both men and women will respond fairly easily and
naturally to more egalitarian social structures and situations. They affirm in other words, that is
possible to change the situation (Ritzer, 2000).
-

It says that both men and women can respond fairly easily and naturally to more by social
equality and equal rights of people. It is possible to change the situation because as we
can see, women nowadays can do they work of the men. Because nowadays, womens
motto is If men can do, we can do it also. Some of the family the mother, search for the
source of income.
