Daya Trust celebrated International Womens


Day by attending the Parliamentary Breakfast,
and participating in the Evening Event hosted
by the British High Commissioner, Her
Excellency Vicki Treadell.
Daya Trusts 5 things you can do to make a
difference was distributed in a booklet to the
400 attendees.

Daya Trust brought the I Am A Girl


movie to New Zealand to promote
girls education
In October 2014 we partnered with
Youth for UN Women NZ to show the
movie in Wellington. The screening
was followed by a panel discussion
on the challenges for girls in todays
globalised world.

First fundraising trip to India


Daya Trust ran its first
fundraising trip to India

In October 2014, Daya Trust took


its first small group trip to India for
12 days to visit local NGOs and
tourist sites. We visited 5 local
NGOs, including our charity
partner Sakhi for Girls Education,
run by Aarti Naik, and the Girls
Learning Centre
