Teaching Activities:
Set Induction
a. Teacher shows pictures of activities in school and gets the pupils to discuss about them.
b. Teacher asks pupils few questions about the pictures: What activity is this? Where was this
held? Have you ever do this activity? Do you like/enjoy doing this activity?
(refer to TB on page 38)
Pre-writing
a. Teacher paste teachers charts on the wall. (Appendix 1) (appendix 2)
b. Using the chart, teacher asks pupils questions such as: 1.Who like/enjoy playing
hockey? Pupils answer the questions with: Ali/ Abu likes/enjoys playing hockey.
c. Using the chart, teacher asks pupils questions such as: 2.Who do not like/enjoy playing
hockey? Pupils answer the questions with: Ali/ Abu does not like/enjoy hockey.
d. By referring to the chart, teacher asks pupils to work in pairs using sentence patterns such as:
What do you like to do? What you do not like to do?
What do your friends like to do? What your friends do not like to do?
While writing
a. Teacher distributes worksheet to pupils. (Appendx 3)
b. Teacher divides the pupils into groups.
c. Teacher asks pupils to work in groups and write about 1.What they like and do not like to
do? 2. What their friends like or do not like to do in the worksheet. (refer appendix 3)

Post writing
g. Teacher asks group leader to present their group work.
Closure
a. Teacher asks pupils to sing a song, I like playing football to the tune of Clementine.

Set Induction
a. Teacher shows pictures of activities in school and gets the pupils to discuss about them by
asking questions such as, What activity is this?
Pre-writing
a. Teacher revise previous questions by asking questions such as: What do you like to do?
What you do not like to do? What do your friends like to do? What your friends do not like
to do?
While writing
a. Teacher asks pupils to read what Li Chean wrote about what he and his friends like or do not
like to do (refer TB on page 38)
b. Teacher guides pupils to talk about the text.
c. Teacher pastes teachers chart on the board that contains questions about the text.
d. Teacher divides pupils into two groups. One group asks questions using teachers chart. The
other group answer.
d. Teacher distributes the worksheet.
e. Pupils write what they like and do not like to do in their worksheet.
Post writing
a. Teacher chooses a few pupils randomly to present their work in front of the class

Conclusion

a. Teacher lists down 10 adverbs on the board.
b. Teacher randomly picks some pupils to demonstrate the actions (teacher whispers the actions
to
the selected pupils)
c. Teacher asks other pupils to describe the actions using the adverbs. Examples: sleep
soundly,
write neatly, talk softly
d. Teacher distributes the worksheets. (refer Appendix 3)
e. Pupils read the sentences and rewrite the sentences using the correct form of adverbs.

b. Teacher corrects the pupils who give wrong answers.

a. Pupils read the phrases on the board such as sing sweetly, arrange the books neatly, wash
