The Truman Company is a trusted source for coin dealing

Roger Westerling can often be found at the Truman Companys Roseville office accompanied by his rescue dog Sonny.
Sonny is a faithful companion and a friendly dog so friendly that some of Westerlings customers stop by just to see the dog!

For Roger Westerling, owner of the Truman Company,

rare coins are a life-long passion, and a daily inspiration.
He's been working in the trade since he was 17 years old, and now, 40
years later, he's still at it, with a customer-first approach, a trusting client
base, and unbeatable experience.
His motto for running a coin and precious metal company: "It's all about
taking care of people and giving them a fair price," he says.

His approach is to make sure the customer's happy and getting a good
price, and he's happy to do the work for that he'll gladly make appraisals and offers, and do home visits to help families with precious heirlooms
figure out what their coin collections are worth.

were often given to elected officials and dignitaries.

He recalls one coin that came through the shop it was an extremely
rare 1921 $20 St. Gauden's gold piece. A family had brought it in hoping to
get a sound appraisal, which he gave them. In fact, his quote ended up being
a better offer than the family got when they sold the piece at auction, by a
margin of $15,000!

Have a coin with family lore but few specifics behind it? Stop at the Truman Company's Roseville office, where walk-ins are more than welcome.
Having grown up working in his uncle's coin shop in California, seeing people walk through the doors "reminds me of the old coin shop days," he says.

WE BUY,

TRADE

With his expertise and his wide network of connections, Westerling can
offer pricing that's competitive with any coin dealer in the country, big or
small.
It's that expertise that has helped him gain the trust of innumerable repeat clients, who swear by him.

Westerling learned the rare coin trade from his Uncle Truman Truman
took him under his wing and got him interested in rare and unusual coins
when he was still in high school. Years later, that passion remains he relishes in the history behind old coins.
"If the coin could talk, what stories would it tell?" he ponders.

He's been lucky enough to see every variety of rare coin come through the
shop, including "trial coins" the first imprints of new coin patterns, which

Guests line up at the Byerlys booth for

and olives.
Sweet Chocolat serves tempting samples
of many chocolate treats for people with a

Visitors look at a vast array of wines to
decide which to sample.

Join neighbors and friends in Rosevilles

Central Park for generous samples of food and
drink from some 30 of Rosevilles favorite restaurants at the eighth annual Taste of Rosefest
on Thursday, June 25 from 5-8 p.m.
Its a win-win event, says Jerry Hromatka,
chair of the Rotary Club-sponsored event.
Guests will enjoy spending time in Rosevilles premier park on a lovely summer evening, Hromatka says, listening to the Roseville
Lutheran Church Jazz Band, eating and drinking to their hearts content while supporting
a good cause Roseville area community
programs. All money raised stays right there
to benefit local children, families and seniors,
he adds.
Food, beer and wine booths will be set up in
Central Parks Muriel Sahlin Arboretum and
Rotary Woods at the Dale Street park entrance
between County Roads C and B2.
Food will include pizza, ham, beef chunks,
barbecue ribs, sandwiches, salads, fresh fruit,

live music, bid on a tent full of treasures at the
silent auction, do the pick-a-bottle of wine fundraiser and have a fun-filled evening that is part of
the citys six-day Rosefest celebration.
Silent auction items are now being collected and
include a glider ride, a round of golf for four at
Midland Hills Country Club, State Fair grandstand
tickets, autographed sports memorabilia, theater
tickets, St. Paul Saints tickets, artwork and gift
cards to local restaurants and shops. Last year
there were 139 items in the auction. Door prizes
will be awarded, as well.
The Roseville Rotary Club supports a number of
community and education programs. For instance,
it has pledged $20,000 a year for three years
straight to jumpstart the Spark program, phase
one of which will begin in the fall at Central Park
Elementary School and eventually spread to other
schools. The program emphasizes science, technology, engineering and math, because its said thats
where 15 of the top 20 jobs will be in the future.
Rotary funds other programs such as Ready,
Set, Read! an early childhood literacy program;
Bridging, which provides furniture and household
goods for those in need who are setting up new
households; Roseville Area Senior Program; Rotary

Woods in Central Park; STRIVE a mentoring

and scholarship program for high school seniors;
Kids Voting; Boy Scouts & Girl Scouts; Northeast Youth & Family Services; and Little Brothers
Friends of the Elderly.
Gather up some friends and head to Central Park
for a fun evening tasting a fine variety of food and
beverages from local restaurants while also supporting programs to help people of all ages in the
community.
Last years Taste of Rosefest was a very fun
night out with such a delicious variety of foods and
beverages that even the slight rainshower could not
dampen our very high spirits. says Mari Evans
from the Como area. We are looking forward to
celebrating this Roseville tradition again this year.
It was a blast, adds Mia Ramsey, of Roseville.
It really is an excellent fundraiser. You get a little
bit of everything in one night. I highly recommend
it!

Roseville Suburban Ace gears up for the summer

he lazy, hazy days of summer are just around the corner at

Suburban Ace Hardware.

Again this year, Ace is offering a greenhouse with an expanded lower selection including a variety of hanging baskets, endless lats of budding annuals and colorful racks of
seeds. Plus, the store is well stocked with grills, lawn mowers and garden supplies.

It's for the birds

Any time customers visit the store, a friendly and helpful staff will greet
them, says owner Mike Johnson, shown here with Taber Sparby.

Ace carries a full line of feeding stations for your feathered friends and all the seeds
that go into them, too. Most are designed to defeat those bushy-tailed guys that are after
that bird seed but some residents, kids especially, love to watch those acrobats in action, so Ace also offers squirrel feeders: just mount them near a window away from your
bird feeders and let the action begin!
And with summer in mind, don't forget the lawn. Ace has a full selection of soils, grass
seeds and tools to help improve both the health and the look of your yard.
Only need some tools one time? Check the Ace rental department for timesaving items
such as tillers, aerators and dethatchers.
With summer almost in full swing, its important to keep your lawn mower and other
gas powered tools running properly, notes store owner Mike Johnson. There is still time
to bring your lawn mower in for a tune-up!

An easy addition

Want to step up your outdoor entertaining this summer or just want to create a quiet
place to unwind with an outdoor room? Check www.acehardware.com for great grill and
furniture ideas. Those products can be delivered free to the store in Roseville.

Improve your home with

Roseville Suburban Ace has expanded its paint and stain selection this year with its
full line of Valspar colors and inishes. They also offers Clark+Kensington paints, recently
rated No. 1 by Consumer Reports for overall inish, ability to hide dirt and more. It's a
paint and primer all in one, making application faster and easier. And a recently added
line of the well-respected brand of Cabot stains will make sure you're wood loors and
decks are covered as well.
Ace also has an almost endless variety of products, including Craftsman tools. "We're
well-stocked," Johnson says. "You can ind what you need; it's a friendly place to shop, and
we're open seven days a week."
Perhaps it's the service know-how as well as the number of products that are drawing
more female customers into the store. "An increasing number of women are doing their
own repairs these days," Johnson adds.
For anyone, Roseville Suburban Ace is "a fun place to shop," Johnson adds. "It's different from shopping at a big-box. Too many big stores just care about proits, not people.
"At Ace, there's more personal service, and we make you feel you are part of the family. If you have a good experience, we hope you'll tell your friends and you'll come back."

Tradition continues for the 2015 Golden Rose Medallion Hunt
The Golden Rose Medallion hunt is an annual tradition in which hunters fan out through Roseville's
many parks during Rosefest in search of the Golden
Rose Medallion.
The Medallion finder receives a basket with over
$500 in prizes and the prize doubles if the finder purchases a Rosefest button prior to the beginning of the
contest on June 25. The hunt begins when the first clue
is announced at the Frank Rog Amphitheater prior to
the 7:30pm Harmonic Relief Show Choir concert!
Clues 2-5 will be released at sponsor locations at 10
a.m. daily. Clues 2-5 will be released at noon daily at
the Roseville Parks and Recreation office, on its website, and at Twitter.com/RVMedallionHunt.
Social Media Contests
This year's event brings an innovative social media
component for a more interactive experience! Hunters have the chance to win three additional prizes
by participating. One winner for each contest will
be chosen at the conclusion of the event! The three
Social Media Contests are:

Running and rolling for the Roses

One of the most active parts of Rosefest is the
annual Run/Roll for the Roses event, which this year
will take place bright and early on Saturday, June 27.
The 37th annual Run/Roll begins just west of
Hamline Avenue on County Road C. There's a whole
host of events for the entire family, no matter the
ability level, with 5K and 10K runs, a half-mile Family Fun Run and a 10K inline rollerblading road race.
The 10K will use city streets, while the 5K will be a
combination of streets and park pathways. Both scenic routes feature rolling hills and runners finish on

the Guidant John Rose OVAL track.

At the end, exhausted but enthusiastic runners
and rollers will be presented with a rose, an incentive to
challenge themselves to do their best! The top finishers
in each age group will also receive awards.
Participants will also receive a t-shirt with their
registration packet.
Register online at www.active.com/rosevillemn/running/distance-running-races/run-for-theroses-2015. Prices for the 5K and 10K increase by $5
on June 23, so register now!

Rose Parades
25th anniversary

Rosefest

Linda E. Andersen photos/Review

This year marks two and a half decades of fun with the Rosefest Rose
Parade. On June 29, 2015, the parade will celebrate its 25th anniversary.
The parade, which is entirely planned and carried out by volunteers, features more than 80 units including local organizations, entertainers and,
of course, lots of opportunities for candy! Last year's Rose Parade included
appearances by local high school marching bands, the local Lions Club and representatives from the city of Roseville. This year's grand marshall is departing
Roseville Area Schools superintendent John Thein, along with celebrity grand
marshalls, TV newscasters Jason DeRusha and Jamie Yuccas.
Don't forget to save your spot early -- the parade starts at 6:15 p.m. on Monday, June 29.
